Here we are in 2012, what we thought was just removing a clogged duct and another benign spot (3rd time!) turned out to be cancerous… next a lumpectomy, a month of radiation, and 5 years of meds.
13 years later, after countless MRI’s and biopsies it’s time for a long term plan and we’re back at NYU. Rachel is awake and doing well after a successful first surgery in her prophylactic double mastectomy. The next few months of recovery are probably gonna be insane but she’s tough as shit and we’ve got great support. Plus we’ve got about 50 gallons of soup in the freezer and pizza is only a click away.
