📼🎶 Upchuck x #StandardSelects | Atlanta-based punk outfit @_upchuck_ performs “Slow Down” live at @standardelectricrecordersco . Watch the full performance here and on YouTube.
“Slow Down” is off Upchuck’s latest record ‘I’m Nice Now’ (via @dominorecordsco ) which is the third full-length album the band has released since forming in 2018. The band gained a cult following in Atlanta following the release of their debut album ‘Sense Yourself.’ Their sophomore album ‘Bite the Hand That Feeds,’ produced by guitar wizard Ty Segall, helped the band land spots opening for Faye Webster and Amyl and the Sniffers, where they mesmerized crowds with their energetic live sets. With ‘I’m Nice Now,’ the band channels their feverishness into an album that is filled with rage along with a continuation of their musical exorcism. In the groove-heavy “Slow Down,” lead vocalist KT sings about breaking the constraints of internalized capitalism and embracing one’s humanity.
