Beyond honored and a bit speechless - just my biggest thank yous to the families and kids who have made me laugh so much and love our little corners of New York even more than I did before; to the mentors, collaborators, and friends who’ve believed in every iteration of this film and in every way it’ll transform this next year; to Firelight Media for this immense level of trust and investment in this vision. Admittedly more than ever I am such a skeptic of documentary, the innumerable hurdles that exist in this work and how, in its worst form, the work becomes self serving and egoistic. This production continually teaches me what my priorities are and how to remain steadfast to my goals of witnessing transformation and solidarity within the process of creating itself. I’m so honored to be in the company of many filmmakers with this shared ethos — I don’t take any of it for granted, and I’m excited to keep going. ❣️🧿 PS - if anyone has a line to Bad Bunny this is your time to share, the kids love him and he’s my dream EP i’m very serious drop me a line
