Fair Building Studio × Nairobi Design Week: Part 1: Lecture
Bridging Design and the Production of Architecture
Notes on Keeping Architecture Human
Most architecture begins on screens but becomes real on construction sites, in the hands of people who actually build it. Along the way, the profession has become very good at images, competitions, and buildings as products, while often forgetting the humans, materials, and environments behind them. Drawing on projects from Fair Building Studio, this lecture explores how reconnecting architects with builders, communities, and craft can lead to more responsible and climate-aware ways of producing architecture.
