This music was made for a hybrid live set at Miscellania (Naarm) with Skydiver Records. Following the shocking and suspicious death of the all-important drum machine (allegedly to natural causes…) upon arriving at the club - the set was cancelled.
These excerpts were salvaged over the following 12 months.

Melbourne / Naarm stronghold Butter Sessions clock 15 years in the game with a trilogy of 12”s, sustaining their uncompromising streak of peak-form electronics. The family-style V/A binds friends, collaborators, former studio neighbours and DJ booth allies, capturing a label that exists as community as much as catalogue.
A new chapter in Butter Sessions’ ongoing Japanese exchange sees Sapporo sound sculptor Kuniyuki re-opening a 2015 tour collaboration with label heads Sleep D - a deep, spatial beatdown powered by dub pressure and percussive hypnosis. Shadow-lurking prodigy Mosam Howieson drops in with his trademark scatterbrain techno, while Hasvat Informant locks into joint-consciousness big-room radioactivity.
Opening the B-side, Fader Cap fuses Balearic psy-ence with Mike Dunn-esque utilitarian jack, hovering somewhere between ’80s memory and future vision. Tokyo’s Mayurashka follows with Survival Guide, big beat colliding with drug chug, before Albrecht La’Brooy reunite for a divine chill-out tent slowdown, magnifying sample detail with exacting flow. We’re adrift until Sunju Hargun lights the beacon with スカイサーファ (Sky Surfer), Thailand’s emissary of ritualistic minimal trance.
Whether taken alone or folded into the three-disc triptych, each instalment stands as a bag-ready constant, charged with Butter Sessions’ curatorial finesse.
