Nothing to see here, but an extraordinary treat being allowed into the James Turrell tank at
@tremenheeresculpturegardens , normally closed to the public for obvious health and safety reasons. There's nothing like sitting in a claustrophobic, pitch dark, damp tank underground whilst your eyes slowly adjust over 10 minutes to reveal a ghostly and slowly moving image projected on the wall. Eventually you realise that you are looking skywards through the trees as if from deep underwater, that image being projected by a tiny pinhole above you at ground level (2nd photo). Invigorating! But impossible to photograph. Easier to photograph is the Turrell Skyspace installed in 1999 for the solar eclipse. Another transcendental experience that only a Turrell can deliver.
