‘Res Lines’, a piece @matthewcook.xyz directed for @bacchanalialdn this summer. The video is a recreation of Thomas Couture’s epic 1847 painting ‘The Romans in Their Decadence’. This reincarnation started life as an award winning illustrated artwork by Joe Dallow for an article in @vanityfair by @emilychangtv titled ‘Bacchanalia 2.0’. 

This illustration was then remastered and expanded by artist @garywilliammyatt as a monumental wall mural which will be a permanent feature of @bacchanalialdn . Part restaurant, part gallery @bacchanalialdn is a modern re-imagination of the ancient art of luxe dining and hospitality. Think Cleopatra not Caligula! The restaurant will feature new work by @damienhirst and display Greek & Roman sculptures from antiquity.
