【Eye Catcher Global-SGIFF Pitching Forum】 We are thrilled to share that the Eye Catcher Global-SGIFF Pitching Forum successfully took place on 4 December at the Asian TV Forum & Market (ATF) in Singapore! This year, SGIFF (@sgiffest )’s Asian Producers Network (APN) was led by programme specialist Fran Borgia. Eight feature film projects from Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Iran, Singapore and South Korea, in the financing and development stage were pitched by talented emerging and established producers from across Asia. 【SGIFF x ECG Short Filmmakers Fellowship】 We are glad to introduce this year's SGIFF x ECG Short Filmmakers Fellowship, where four work-in-progress documentary shorts projects joined the SGIFF (@sgiffest ) for an enriching week of screening, masterclass, mentorship and pitching session. With the Frontline Fellowship (@frontlinefellowship.io ) as one of ECG’s partners, three of these projects come from the inaugural Frontline Documentary Short Film Fellowship. Our four fellows and their projects are: ✨Grace Hsia — On a Night Like This ✨Li Weixi — The Ballad of Love and Sorrow ✨Mickey Luan — Family Letter ✨Yang Hongjia — Almost Home A Mentorship x Pitch session was held on 3 December, with mentors Elysa Wendi, Federico Cammarata, Josune Hahnheiser, and Nandita Solomon, who offered constructive feedback and practical guidance to help sharpen each fellow’s project and prepare them for the wider landscape. 【Eye Catcher x SGIFF Pop Up Video Library】 The Eye Catcher x SGIFF Pop Up Video Library was set up at the Festival Lounge of SGIFF (@sgiffest ) throughout the festival period, featuring 12 award-winning short films from the Eye Catcher Short Awards. We were thrilled to share these powerful stories with all of you. We were also delighted to have the support of HKETO (Singapore) this year, and co-hosted a wonderful luncheon together, creating more opportunities for exchange and connection within the film festival community. A special sharing session was held on 1 December with: ✨ Seun Yee [Boundaries] – Eye Catcher Grand Award Winner ✨ Kiarash Dadgar [The Steak] – Eye Catcher Best Short Award (Asia) Winner as guest speakers, and moderated by Eric Tsang, the Artistic Director of Eye Catcher Global.
