Immigrants are an integral part of Minnesota. We have a long history of welcoming immigrants and refugees as members of our community, and the impact of recent federal action has been devastating across the entire state, as well as for Tribal Nations that share geography with Minnesota.
Our job is to tell the story of Minnesota as the best state for travel, quality of life and economic opportunity.
For the last month, Minnesotans have been telling that story for us, in the national spotlight. They have been showing up as neighbors and finding ways to come together. Our state may be known for its cold, but our people are warm.
If you are not from here, we hope you consider visiting Minnesota. We understand if you wait until it warms up a little (not everyone is built for sub-zero temps).
When you come, check out a local business. Try a new-to-you food. Do some shopping at a small, independent store. Tip generously and travel broadly. From Minneapolis to Mankato, Grand Marais to East Grand Forks, there’s so much to see.
