A personal bucket list interview here folks as Excel and in particular their "Split Image" album from 1987 was and still is one of my all-time favorite crossover albums coming out of Venice, CA. We recently made contact with their bassist Shaun Ross, found out that the band is in the process of writing (and now recording) for a new album and the next thing I know in the middle of the afternoon on October 10th I am making a phone call to California to get all the details. Shout out Instagram for kinda helping our two parties connect as well as @yourethenight & @bigred.photo who had some sick recent shots of the band which now includes Greg Cerwonka from Take Offense and Damon De La Paz from Fenix TX...
