Après une longue absence, vendredi 19 septembre se tenait à Paris le lancement du cinquième numéro de Répertoire Magazine, présentant le travail de l’artiste Rafael Moreno (@nosenorita ), tout de rose teinté. 
 Ce soir-là, les cosmopolitans étaient assortis aux pièces réalisées pour l’occasion par l’artiste et sa sœur Patricia (@nomichiquita ). Nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement l’artiste Rafael Moreno (@nosenorita ), Lou Ferrand (@louverrante ) pour son texte ‘What’s in her Bag?’ présent dans ce numéro, Patricia Moreno (@nomichiquita ) pour son travail sur les pièces exposées, ainsi que Jim Fontana (@studiojimfontana ) pour leur accueil chaleureux et leur aide. Soirée de lancement 🗞5👜👛💸 Après plus d’un an de silence, il est temps de vous présenter le 5e numéro de Répertoire magazine qui vous sera dévoilé le vendredi 19 septembre. Pour ce retour, c’est la parole et le travail de Rafael Moreno (@nosenorita ) qui seront mis à l’honneur dans un format plus long de quelques pages, plus riche d’une couleur et d’un texte inédit de Lou Ferrand (@louverrante ). « Tout juste sortie d’un sex-shop aux lueurs rouges et roses, nous rencontrons l’artiste Rafael Moreno. Elle tient alors à nous présenter sa bande d’amies. Assises et bruyantes, leurs chuchotements et leurs rires teintent la pièce. Tout en nous défigurant, chacune mâche mécaniquement un chewing-gum saveur tutti frutti trouvé à la va-vite dans un des sacs en simili cuir “ Dolce & Cabana ”. Alors que l’une s’apprête à partir pour l’aéroport direction New York, notre entretien débute. » Pour l’occasion, Rafael présentera certaines de ses pièces qui se pareront de tissus conçus en collaboration avec sa sœur Patricia (@nomichiquita ). To compose, to rhythm, to harmonize, to color, to mix, to sample, to apply effects, to create a foreground, a background... Music and graphic design share a common vocabulary, and their practices are intimately linked. Whether it’s an album cover or the notes of a melody, music can be seen and graphic design can be heard. The posture of a musician in front of his instrument and that of a graphic designer in front of his computer give rise to a number of parallels and similarities. Mille Papiers is journal which attempts to draw a parallel between music composition and image composition. Preview of a font I’m working on since a few months now. It’s a revival based on drawings I found in a collection of alphabets edited in 1962, drawn by René Henry-Munsch, a french typograph who was teaching at EnsAD Paris back in the days. These letters were designed for « long advertising texts ». A nice contrasted version is also in the making… stay tuned 🔌

« De l’image individuelle à l’hyperimage : un nouveau défi pour l’histoire de l’art » de Felix Thürlemann est un texte qui s’interroge sur les groupements d’images et les possibles nouvelles lectures qu’ils induisent. Ces images fonctionnent comme un tout, une unité. Après s’être ancré dans l’Antiquité et le Moyen-Âge, l’historien de l’art s’appuie sur différents cas au fil des siècles : un système d’accrochage symétrique dit « en pendant », les cabinets de curiosités, qui deviennent ensuite collections d’oeuvres d’art, les premiers accrochages au Louvre, les pratiques d’Aby Warburg et d’André Malraux, les regroupement photodynamiques de Wolfgang Tillmans… Dans cette édition, le texte est augmenté de définitions, précisions, anecdotes et petites histoires qui se trouvent dans le pli des pages que permet la reliure à la française; il faut déchirer les arêtes du papier pour y avoir accès.
