“People come to an Eerste Communie party to dance and lose themselves in the music - nothing but real unity and a family that respects and looks out for one another.” Amsterdam’s party series Eerste Communie finds its essence echoed in the words of its resident artist, Rene Wise, a breakthrough producer spearheading Moving Pressure and a peerless sculptor of rhythm and groove, with releases on some of the most respected techno labels, including WSNWG, Bassiani Records, Mote-Evolver, and SK_Eleven. On 8th May at Bassiani, Rene Wise goes back-to-back with Amoral, whose uptempo sound fuses driving melodic rhythms with rolling basslines, delivering high-intensity, fast-paced sets. Richard Akingbehin, a British-Nigerian DJ and curator, is the co-founder of Kynant Records and Refuge Worldwide, a radio platform that has reshaped Berlin’s music and arts landscape through community-driven programming and a commitment to diversity. Drawing from the sonic innovations of Jamaican and UK sound system culture, he navigates his selections through heavy basslines and the spatial effects of dub. Guided by the rhythm of drums, Windfuhr crafts a musical journey defined by hypnotic introspection and a continuous flow of energy, deeply informed by his Guadeloupean roots. Mastermind behind the SLICK queer party series and a resident of After Life at Mitsuki Club, Mari Sakurai is known for fluid, exploratory sets that incorporate experimental elements while remaining grounded in techno. Delivering live performances, Hitam, head of Rhiza Semar, presents work shaped by atmospheric depth and diverse textures drawn from art, nature, incidental sound, and the energy of underground. Joining the live program is the enigmatic HVL, alongside Kdema and Dito at Horoom. Relentless perfectionism behind the decks, characterised by emotional depth, intimacy, and melancholia, ATEQ crafts deeply atmospheric, loop-driven sounds and cinematic narratives through techno, house, dub, and minimal. Another testament to his vision is the recent release Mind Games, a collaboration with Samuel Rohrer via YOYAKU in 2025 — a mysterious dive into percussion virtuosity, avant-garde jazz, and ambient.
Horoom Records returns with HRM004, a record release party for a four-piece EP uniting Tbilisi’s finest Skyra and the Swedish craftsman Martinou in a journey through elegance, warmth, and emotional depth. Visionary producer, live performer, and DJ Skyra has been a shadowy force in Tbilisi’s underground for nearly a decade, a BASSIANI sound engineer since 2019, a Morevi member since 2022, the Unforeseen label head alongside Hamatsuki since 2024, and the club’s resident artist as of 2026. Skyra’s timeless sound, rooted in techno and house and influenced by diverse musical traditions, is guided by instinct, moving between ecstatic, melancholic, and darker states. His releases span labels across Icontrax, Orion Records, Reclaim Your City, Red Rec, Palms Structure, Structural Realism, Morevi, Horoom Records, and Unforeseen. The Swedish producer, DJ, and live performer Martinou creates multilayered music that works its way into the heart and mind—sometimes bold and heavy, other times blissful and introspective. This undisputed talent made the co-founder of the Sewer Sender label a key figure in the Scandinavian club scene. With over 20 years of exploring electronic music from different angles, Martinou draws on these experiences in his take on the deeper shades of the field. His sound is heavily influenced by the interplay of light and darkness in northern landscapes, with the lush intensity of forests and vast, murmuring expanses infusing his music. Joining them are the enigmatic HVL, Kvanchi, and Mancho.
BASSIANI (@basssiani ), a prominent techno institution that revolutionized Georgian club culture and left its mark on the global electronic music scene, has become an underground basis for resistant and subversive youth culture. This Friday, Tbilisi’s most renowned club takes over Astin with residents and regulars Ndrx, HVL & Svreca 🪖
Georgian electronic music scene activist Ndrx (@nodrex_ndrx ) brings a scrutinizingly selected and masterfully put-together experience with technical prowess from his spectacular music collection. His sets create the unyielding spirit of the dancefloor, a gutsy passion that makes him the tour de force of the Georgian electronic music scene.
HVL (@evilgap ) has also become a leading voice of the thriving techno movement centered around the Tbilisi club scene. From his solo releases to his live performances and DJ sets, HVL’s dynamics are centered on outboard house and techno with a noticeably understated mood.
Joining the BASSIANI residents is also Svreca (@svreca ), founder of Semantica, who has nurtured innovative artists and releases for over two decades while helping cement Madrid as a key centre for forward-thinking electronic music. His sets and productions blend immersive textures with precise rhythms, reflecting a commitment to music that is both physical and intellectually engaging.

"A message of freedom and individuality, a stand against the system. KAOS was born to empower people to find and express themselves without fear or judgment. It is a personal manifesto, an artistic and human legacy inspired by urban subcultures, social movements, and a rebellious spirit." On 20 March at BASSIANI, that philosophy will be represented by its founder, Héctor Oaks, a turntable master known for his stamina and mixing style, whose vinyl-only sets are a journey through the hand-picked gems from hypnotic ghetto-tech, acid scorchers, technopunk and gritty post-industrial. He is joined by Ndrx, BMI, the driving force behind Aneelhi Rec, Ina Kacz, and Italian DJ, dedicated digger and sublime selector Quest, who unearths forgotten musical relics, seamlessly breathing new vitality into hidden gems and rendering them as evocative as ever. He has perfected the art of mixing without physically manipulating records, also known as shadowboxing. Influenced by the Italian hip-hop collective Alien Army, his eerie, heavily textured sets connect the furthest ends of the electronic spectrum, from outré techno to dark, quirky house, from electro to UKG and EBM. He curates sounds that reflect his fascination with the diabolus in musica, the tritone, also known as the devil’s interval, evoking tension and intrigue while giving his sets a signature hypnotic edge. This lineage finds a contemporary echo in his vinyl-only label, La Nota Del Diablo. Returning to Horoom are the visionary producers HVL, Kdema, and Skyra, alongside Ulf Eriksson, founder of Sweden’s influential music label Kontra-Musik, who has spent the past two decades shaping a catalogue deeply rooted in the underground. Ulf Eriksson is a resident DJ at the Waking Life Festival in Portugal, the artistic director of the music department at Inkonst, a renowned cultural centre in Malmö, and the chief curator of Intonal, one of the most prestigious festivals of experimental music and culture.

Last July, after playing and staying in Georgia for several gigs-including at BASSIANI-I strongly felt once again that I wanted to reunite with them as soon as possible and share music together in the DJ booth.(The day before my final day there, I was so heartbroken about having to leave Georgia and saying goodbye to Kvanchi that I ended up crying in front of his house.)That experience, along with my desire to share their incredible music and humanity with the dedicated, like-minded people I trust in various places, became the motivation for this project.
Two and a half years ago, through Haruka-san and his booking agent Mike, I booked HVL for the first time. At the time, it was extremely difficult just to secure a single gig. (Deep down, I was also struggling and fighting just to find opportunities for my own DJing.) Since then, with time and repeated events, we’ve been able to expand this time to four dates.
I sincerely thank YSK-san, Name-san, Tanaka-san, and DOMMUNE’s Ukawa-san for positively embracing this project, saying, “That sounds great, let’s do it.” I also sincerely thank everyone at LAPITA, Shimazu-san, and Mike for arranging everything.
BASSIANI Resident's Hamatsuki is an amazing talented artist, and he’s also joining the tour.
We’ll bring this BASSIANI SHOWCASE to a close in Tokyo, where HVL and I first met.
*** Unfortunately, Blawan won’t be able to perform at Bassiani due to personal reasons. We’re honored to welcome Irish techno legend, turntable wizard, and uncompromising master of his craft, Sunil Sharpe, for the Bassiani x FOLD club night.
"FOLD is a shelter, a house for many beautiful souls so that they can come find their place," as described by the Georgian co-founder of London’s club and art space and the Fold Records curator, Voicedrone. Performing with him on 6th February at BASSIANI are James Newmarch and Anabel Arroyo, known for intense, groovy sets guided by instinct and deeply connected to the body, a personal and physical exploration of movement, connection, and emotion through rhythm. Enigmatic HVL and the singular talent, phenomenal British producer and sound designer, Blawan, originally a drummer, alternatively known as Kilner and Bored Young Adults, the other half of Karenn with Pariah and Trade with Surgeon. His innovative production philosophy that embraces experimentation, hybrid workflows, and unconventional techniques is reflected in groundbreaking releases on Hessle Audio, R&S, Restoration, Black Sun Records, and Hinge Finger, beyond his own TERNESC imprint. “Making music for me has always been way more than just beats and noises. It's my main form of communication that I use to understand myself and the reality I inhabit. SickElixir feels like my real debut; it’s deeply personal and a reflection of my real voice, my life, and struggles.” - His newest and vastly impressive LP, SickElixir, was released on XL Recordings in 2025. Returning to Horoom are Kvanchi and Hamatsuki, alongside a master of mystery and relentless digger, Nicolas Lutz, uncovering hidden gems and artists who have remained beneath the radar of dominant culture, bringing an extraordinary voyage into the uncharted territories of music. Never one to compromise or contradict a steadfast musical philosophy, one only needs to see Lutz, the mastermind of My Own Jupiter, behind the decks to understand the existence of his cult following.
