On 16th May, Horoom invites Morevi’s Boya, the master of momentum, Vodkast’s Zurkin, and Kraumur, one of the singular voices in Tbilisi's underground, a deep-digging selector and dedicated radio host known for her instinct-driven, unpredictable sets and constant pull toward uncharted territories, crafting a unique style and curating rare, deeply resonant experiences for obsessive music heads. Renowned English electronic music duo Mount Kimbie signed to Warp Records. Formed in 2008, Mount Kimbie released their lauded debut, Crooks & Lovers, in 2010. After the critically acclaimed dancefloor-oriented sophomore release, Cold Spring Fault Less Youth, came one of Mount Kimbie’s most celebrated albums to date, Love What Survives. Featuring long-term friends and collaborators James Blake, Mica Levi, and King Krule, Love What Survives found the band exploring rhythmic textures inspired by kraut rock and post-punk whilst retaining an undeniable electronic fingerprint evident throughout their albums, including the latest, The Sunset Violent, released in 2024. Mount Kimbie’s influences range from shoegaze, minimalist, indie, electronica, techno, hip-hop, and field recordings to pioneering a new wave of British electronic music.

Trailblazers from the early wave of Georgia's electronic music scene, Tomma and Vako T, return to Horoom on May 23rd. Tomma, a music lover, record collector, and DJ, is a seminal figure whose artistic path took off at the legendary Tbilisi club, Berlin, in 2005. As a founding member of the "threesome" collective alongside Gio Bakanidze and Nika Japaridze, he is also a co-founder and resident of key institutions, including 4GB, Lisi Wood Festival, Mtkvarze, and Café Gallery. Tomma is renowned for his diverse selections spanning house, techno, minimal, and electro, with mixes that carry a dub-infused, mysterious aura. Vako T began his journey performing in niche clubs in Batumi. His first major project, a collaboration with Bachi Tomadze under the Forest moniker, made a significant impact on the emerging sound of Georgia's underground and festival culture. Kdema, the alias of composer Ani Zakareishvili, focuses her practice on acoustic and sample-based music, creating original sounds and textures through various sampling and digital techniques, all of which are present in her latest album, Neither in the Sky nor on the Ground. Another promising producer, Tascamboy, is the author of more than five self-released EPs and singles. His tracks have also appeared on compilations from labels such as Duplicity, CAŁOŚĆ, and SYXT, as well as within Fabric Presents Rødhåd.

Vault Sessions emerged in the early 2010s from the raw, industrial heart of Amsterdam’s underground techno scene, sparked by a small group of enthusiasts seeking a deeper connection to the darker, heavier edges of electronic music, and the platform has been instrumental in building transformative energy over the past decade. On 19 June, Vault Sessions takes over Bassiani, represented by its founders, long-time friends and selectors Alexander van Zweden and Bas Schoevaars as VSC, a powerhouse duo who have honed their craft and collaboration into a shared vision rooted in deep, groove-driven techno, defining the unmistakable Vault Sessions sound. German-Dutch pairing Phil Berg & Lobster join forces for a high-voltage back-to-back set built on patience, trust, and deep, driving momentum. Parisian artist and activist Lea Occhi, co-founder of the Spectrum LGBTQI+ monthly rendezvous at La Station Gare des Mines in Paris, is a digger by instinct, crafting heady, mesmerizing rhythms and earthy textures. Serial Disc Touchers (SDT Recordings) label head Grace Dahl delivers a versatile selection of techno, seamlessly shifting from hypnotic loops and bouncy grooves to powerful kicks and dominant percussion. Horoom welcomes back Morevi alongside Boyá, Keto, and Emanuele Barilli, an Italian selector and producer inspired by a deep love for house and funk, characterized by organic grooves and harmonic sounds. They will be joined by Jorge Caiado, mastermind behind the Portuguese Groovement label, Carpet & Snares Records, and the House Mouse party in Lisbon, strictly and shamelessly dedicated to house music.

Based between Berlin and Lisbon, Yonti crafts a surging techno charged with rebel spirit. At a fresh 23 years old, he debuted at Berghain’s SNAX before becoming a regular there, and has gone on to play at some of the world’s most respected haunts including De School, Tresor, Basement, Pawnshop and no less than Glastonbury. His tension building sets are sinister and raw formulations that build layer upon layer towards their head-spinning climax. Blending surgical precision with instinctive feeling for sound he’s mastered the kind of peak-hour techno that leaves a mark, heaving basslines with no small measure of sharply defined detail thrown in. For Bassiani Podcast 308, Yonti channels that intensity into a mix that feels both relentless and deeply intentional, a punishing journey moored to the physicality of the dancefloor, a high-speed collision of chaotic kicks and throbbing low-end locked in for after-hours ritual. A merciless 100-minute mix guaranteed to get you moving.

Sibling troublemakers Tania and Dominik Humeres-Correa (THC and DHC) come together as fire-hot double act S-candalo. The brother and sister duo hail from Germany with Colombian/Chilean roots, blending Berlin’s austere drum loops with an unmistakably latin flair. From music management to fashion and nightlife, they’ve had each others’ backs, fed their creative impulses, and played a role in shaping their city’s post-pandemic sound ever since. Along with Byron Yeates they founded one-stop-shop for all beats house La Noche, now in its third year. And through their gigs and showcases at Panorama Bar, Fabric and Whole Festival, and pushing as far afield as Amsterdam, Athens, New York and LA they’re bringing their cheeky blend of rhythms to a wider audience (think off the shelf house mixed in with some reworked Shakira). The sibling power-duo offer up more-is-more club sounds: fearless synths and punchy kicks run through with diva vocals and big room feeling. Bassiani Podcast 307 is an action-packed installment brought to you by this slick and seductive act, 80 minutes of uninterrupted bangers from these Berlin champions. Drop the rivalry, these two are out spreading love.

Ndrx returns to BASSIANI on 12 June, alongside Aurora Halal, producer, DJ, and creative force behind Brooklyn’s Mutual Dreaming party series and the Sustain-Release festival. Shadowy and psychedelic, her hardware live and DJ sets possess a hazy sensuality and metallic intensity, shifting between playful, dark, acidic, hard, euphoric, and emotionally vulnerable moods. She treats music as an arena for transformation, with the underground as the final destination. Proxima label head and Motel Campo resident Audrey Danza channels a full emotional spectrum into her performances and productions, with sounds moving between acid pressure, industrial grooves, ’90s house, hypnotic percussion, and retro-futurist atmospheres. The mastermind behind Copenhagen’s new favourite Sunday sessions, Essence, is Danish DJ and producer Kasper Marott, who has released music on Modeselektor’s Seilscheibenpfeiler, Courtesy’s Kulør, and his own Axces imprint. Zesknel will perform live. Kvanchi takes over Horoom, together with multifaceted selector and multimedia artist Nil, who explores ambient, dance, and experimental music; and Sportsmanship, whose sonic experiments are grounded in unconventional approaches to composition and aim to construct an unusual dramaturgy. Founder of NAFF Recordings and the Jump Source recording studio, Priori builds a hyper-detailed world steeped in science fiction and fantasy, residing somewhere between the biological and the synthetic, the actual and the possible. His meticulously crafted dance music is full of fractal patterns, ear-prickling textures, and crystalline melodies that emerge and flicker in stunning detail. Priori’s collaborations include James K, Donato Dozzy, Jump Source, Housemates, New World Science, Jumanjí, Tiga, and Paul St. Hilaire. Priori is also an accomplished mixing engineer who has worked with Bambii, Maara, Ex-Terrestrial, Roza Terenzi, D. Tiffany, Regular Fantasy, Ramzi, URA, and many more.

One of house music’s true exponents, Berlin-based DJ and producer Nat Wendell, draws influence from his hometown London's soundsystem culture, which is evident in his signature groove, as is the pulse of 90s New York. Driven by his carefully curated jazz and soul collection and a deep love for jungle, garage, and broken beat, Nat Wendell aims to lower inhibitions and forge connections among people. His admiration for gritty, bass-heavy crescendos is visceral, demanding one to move and experience the magic of the dancefloor. Nat Wendell has released music on labels such as Courtesy of Balance, thisisnegentropy, King Street Sounds, and his own Depths of My Soul. On 6 June, he takes over Horoom alongside the rebellious spirit of the Georgian queer underground, Sophie Phare, and the founders and curators of the Unforeseen label, Skyra and Hamatsuki, whose atmospheric, emotional, and melancholic sound arises from a boundless cross-pollination of deep house, old-school trance, and ambient.

Blue Hour—a time of day similar to dawn, dusk, and the three stages of twilight. It doesn't have one fixed definition, and its colour is neutral, not necessarily blue. Likewise, the Berlin-based producer, DJ, and head of Blue Hour Music reflects this ambiguity, blurring the lines between acid techno, old-school rave, breakbeat, jungle, and leftfield to craft a mirage of hazy euphoria. Beyond his solo work, his artistic vision manifests through collaborations with Fast Forward, Ute.Rec, and positivesource, a sub-label co-founded with Philippa Pacho. On 5th June, at BASSIANI, he will team up with the creative forces behind Shin Records, Kancheli, and Newa; vinyl purist Salty DJ, known for his attention to detail, impeccable mixing skills, and strong ties to early techno generations. Austrian DJ and producer Alpha Tracks is renowned for his bold experiments, focusing on analogue techniques and live dynamics during studio collaborations. At Horoom, enigmatic HVL joins Brooklyn-based founder of Earth Dog Records, Jek, whose work includes audio-visual performances, stage design, and 3D music videos. His experimental approach captivates and invites audiences into a symbiotic world where technology and organic forms vividly intersect. Californian DJ and producer Liquid Earth’s early releases elevated his profile through labels like NYC's Let's Play House and Melbourne’s Voyage Recordings, displaying an almost encyclopedic knowledge of house music. His DJ sets and productions feature warm, late-night NRG, wiggly tech house, and pounding breaks, along with trance, electro, and groove-driven minimal, all refracted through a vintage lens.

Angioma and BLANKA are a French/Spanish duo based in Berlin whose uncompromising sound takes over the airwaves for Bassiani Podcast 306. Their ongoing partnership brings together two highly disparate voices that keenly thumb through their extensive techno catalogue in the service of an unfettered and contemporary sound. Together, the duo started Room Trax, a label and event series that brings Barcelona and Berlin a little closer together with its community focused music explorations, an underground gathering that showcases both established and upcoming names. Their studio recordings have been released on Amotik’s AMTK+, Soma, Mutual Rytm and Setaoc Mass’ SK_Eleven, and appearances at Berghain, FVTVR, FOLD, Basement and WOMB have put them to the test with flying colours. It’s techno with a solid emphasis on groove and steady rhythm, synthetic formulations that exponentially build toward a point of release. Their gravity defying basslines continue to define their corner of the techno landscape, proving their mettle as innovative producers and world-class performers. This latest number brings the pair together for a two hour journey into their world: a raw and minimal bout of blazing beats and technical precision, red hot tunes from a visionary duo.

Juan Rico, the visionary behind Architectural and the vaunted Reeko project, stands as one of techno’s most compelling and enigmatic figures. Born in Oviedo, Asturias, in 1981, Rico’s journey into electronic music began in the late ’90s, but it was his relentless experimentation and uncompromising vision that catapulted him to the forefront of the global techno scene starting in 2010 with the first in a string of releases bearing his name (on the self-titled label that kicked off the project). Under the cloak of anonymity, he departed from the hard-edged techno of his Reeko alias in favour of a multidimensional ambient sound. Haunting echoes replete with gaussian grain and emotional tones that explore his duality as an artist, sometimes folding in beats that hark back to his better known pseudonym. Alongside releases on Semantica, Wolfskull, Turbo and Non Series, his work as DJ has seen him play equally esteemed spaces like Printworks, Tresor, Robert Johnson, Awakenings and L.E.V. in his native Asturias. Carving cinematic soundscapes from the void, Architectural puts forth a penetrating, high IQ strain of electronic music that complements his dance tracks to a T. For Zenaari Mix 023, the Spanish veteran treads softly through that murky world and delivers an hour long expedition through the avant-garde and melancholy, experimental beeps and syncopated scratches that break new ground while staying true to his spirit. This is a sonic journey through the shadows and light of his dual world, a highly charged number from a Spanish pioneer. Link in @zennaari bio.
