So excited to see the cover of @nytmag Extreme Voyages Issue!
If you can, please see the wonderful interactive piece online.
Thank you @j_dims and @amykellner ❄️
Some of the oldest ice-age fossils have been hidden in the permafrost for centuries. Today, tens of thousands of years later, the permafrost is rapidly thawing as a result of climate change, and fossils are washing into the rivers.
In February @maxim_arbugaev and I went on a journey in our homeland Yakutia. We joined four divers on the their quest to find underwater fossils in -50C weather. Thank you, the team of brave divers: Egor Vasilev, Oleg Guryev, Ivan Gorokhov, Innokentiy Drugin for showing us the incredible hidden world.
Follow our expedition in a beautiful interactive piece in @nytmag in March Extreme Voyages Issue. Thank you so much @j_dims and @amykellner for collaboration and for creating a perfect home for our story.

Honoured to be part of the beautiful exhibition at the New York Public Library.

Curated by Elizabeth Cronin, Robert B. Menschel Curator of Photography and assistant curator Maggie Mustard.

So greatful for this journey of Haulout. For the fun night at the Oscars. For my brother @maxim_arbugaev and the hero of our film Maxim Chakilev who came all the way from Chukotka to share this crazy time with us. Who would have thought that after living together in a faraway hut on the shore of Arctic ocean we would reunite in this surreal parallel world all decked out. Love you guys!
Our film made it to the Shortlist for The Best Documentary Short Film at the 95th Academy Awards! Honoured to be among the incredible 15 films. Sending love to our protagonist Maxim Chakilev, the team and everyone who helped to make it possible. Surreal! 💙 Watch it online in link in bio
