“We have a policy decision to let wealthy, typically older people protect their house value while younger people cannot afford a basic house,” says Ramit Sethi.
Sethi’s career in personal finance took off with his 2009 book, “I Will Teach You to Be Rich,” which has more than a million copies in print. He transitioned into television with a Netflix series called “How to Get Rich,” and hosts a popular podcast, “Money for Couples.” He believes we should take personal responsibility for our money. But unlike some other financial advisers, he says we can also acknowledge “the need for systemic reform.”
