i think it’s important to mark ”check points” in projects. about a year ago i set out to make a small music device to fit into my workflow, and after a BUNCH of challenges (apparently you need to understand electronics to make electronics, who would have thought??) i’m glad to say i’ve reached the first check point. don’t get me wrong, still very much prototypes but good enough to be called V1! i’m gonna continue developing them, we still have a long way to go until they are no longer prototypes but still a nice milestone.

about two weeks since i got to show the midis!! it was so much fun to see so many people come out to see some things i made!! thanks to @varmeverket for supporting me through this project, truly the best people! and thank YOU guys for coming out❤️❤️
"Everydaye Objects 01"
Som industridesigner och musiker har Serge Ndayambaje i detta residens valt att fokusera på själva verktygen för skapande, snarare än det slutgiltiga resultatet. I hans arbete har han byggt två MIDI-controllers, där Serge vill utforska det kreativa utrymmet som finns inom skapandeprocessen i sig, snarare än att enbart skapa musik. Dessa controllers, enkla och minimalistiska i sin utformning, speglar tanken att kreativitet inte alltid behöver vara komplicerad eller tekniskt avancerad. Genom att avskala funktion och form, vill han skapa en produkt som inte sätter press på användaren, utan istället uppmuntrar till lekfullhet och frihet i skapandet.
