To my sister, there are so many kind things I could say, but I fear it would go to your head. Growing up with someone makes you close, but seeing them truly happy shows you how much they mean to you. The difference between dreams and nightmares is a dream won’t wake you up the way a nightmare can.
Over the past several years I have made my life about chasing my dreams as a cyclist. But when my cycling isn’t going too well, it can sure make life tough. For me, my year was a nightmare. As hard of a year as it was, I still find myself competing at the highest level in Europe and surrounded by the best team in @compedgeracing . If something is so hard and gives me so much grief, why do I keep doing it? That’s a question I don’t know if I can answer. But I suppose that it forces me to accept the moments of joy and realize they gave me a lot more than I thought.
First road trip of the season to @gocrossrace is done and dusted. Felt nice to show some pace, but it’s back to the drawing board to put together the full hour in the coming rounds of @trekuscxseries . Thanks as always to the @compedgeracing team for all the support!

@compedgeracing team camp is done and dusted. Team is dialed. @trekbikes is dialed. All that’s left is me and I can’t wait for the season ahead. Season starts @gocrossrace@trekuscxseries soon and final prep is underway.

It means the world to be able to do the sport you love in a place where the people love it just as much as you. My first trip to Europe was full of new experiences like representing my country in my first world cups and simply existing in a place that loves cycling. Very thankful to @compedgeracing for making this trip a possibility and @cxhairs for what is without a doubt the coolest photo of myself. Being part of a race that 30,000 show up to watch is unbelievable. Although no results were worth writing home about, it’s an amazing feeling to race the absolute best in the world and realize just how close I am to my future goals. After I take a short break, I have new motivation to prep for the coming road season and try to become the best I can.

Had a day in the sand trying to keep up and learn from some of the best riders in the world before I line up in Antwerpen for this weekends @ucicyclocrossworldcup . Incredible experience to follow around the same guys I’ve spent so much time watching on tv from @alpecindeceuninck@cyclocrossreds and @crelancorendon .
As athletes and racers we chase the feeling of success. Sometimes that’s winning and sometimes it’s surviving. After a season that’s left me disappointed, finally putting a race together than felt like a success means the world to me. 10th this weekend was more than I hoped for and got me my first UCI points. Thank you to the @compedgeracing team for making it possible.
