This win means so much to me. Race wins come very rarely for me these days while being a domestique for my teammates, so to win this legendary race on a gritty day with rain, mud, and gravel feels so so good.
Thank you to my teammates for rallying around me for the finish and trusting me to finish off the job. We raced so well together and our young guns @mtbtwins did a fantastic job and it was really fun being able to race with them and help mentor them in the race.
Huge thank you to the Cole’s, @ryan__drummond , and @zakrajsekdylan for standing in the rain and cold weather to support us and clean all of our gear after the race when we were freezing and tired 🥶🫶🏻 you guys are the best!!!

And to top off the great day, we got to watch @kenroczen94 win the 450 SX Championship!! Personally, I think it was my note on my number & me taking all the winning energy out of the number 96 for the day 😌

This was my first time doing this race and I have to say, it was one of the harder races I’ve done so far with the challenging routes and the altitude, but that also left me feeling very proud and accomplished.
I am incredibly proud of our team this week. We showed up with a small but mighty squad and we had a great few days of racing. 2 podium finishes, 3rd in team GC, occupying the climbers jersey, and 2nd in overall GC. We rallied around each other, made a plan, and executed it almost exactly how we wanted each day and that itself is a small win since we are all new to racing with each other.
Time to rest up and get ready for @battenkillrace this Saturday in New York and feed zone duty next weekend for the boys at @gpnyc.gfny 🫡💧

I got to wear the polka dot jersey all week at Tour of the Gila ❤️🤍
Technically, it wasn’t mine… but I’ll take it.
The polka dot jersey is the climber’s jersey, awarded to the rider with the most QOM (Queen of the Mountain) points from the top of designated climbs each stage. @lollyis_lauren held the lead, but sitting 2nd in the standings meant I got to “occupy” it all week ;) this was my first time getting to wear a jersey during a race!! still not over tour of Gila.

stage 3 tour of Gila brought all the elements 🌧️🌈
a gritty, brutal, but dare I say fun?? day out yesterday. from about 10km in we started to push up pinos altos climb, establishing a break of 10 at the top of the climb. our break whittled down to 8 after the big descent into the valley where we all worked to establish a solid gap between us and the peloton. in the valley we got poured on and hailed on. I hateeee racing in the rain, but so thankful I was in a small group of ladies who all rode very safe to the finish. at the end of the stage we found out we got 15 minutes on the peloton!!!! insane day!!! also teammate @gbolard made the break moving her into 8th in GC!!!
I also went for two QOMs to “occupy” the polka dot jersey for another day 🤍❤️
