@adiutkarshm new album “Catastrophe” is out now! I had the joy of collaborating with him once again on the album artwork for this project ✨
Hearing the music in its early stages instantly transported me to that coming-of-age phase where progressive rock often becomes the language for loneliness, intensity, being unheard, and reaching outward. The album moves between quiet, melodic tenderness and raw, screaming rage, and we wanted the visuals to hold both - warmth in the anger, and solitude in the atmosphere.
The image shows Adi’s shadow layered with the shadow of a dried flower, created using turmeric printing, a process that naturally produces deep yellows and reds, echoing the emotional heat and introspection of the sound.
Do check it out if you’re into progressive rock! Thanks @adiutkarshm for letting me help out 👉🏼👈🏼 here’s to many more releases and collaborations 🌼
Little spaceship inspired tableware set as a wedding gift for the dearest @bhavijagatia and @shawnsteve12 💕
As you can see this is a work in progress and ended up looking like little mushrooms instead of spaceships. The interesting thing with this one was how the same glaze turned out differently depending on the placement in the kiln and the amount of reduction it was exposed to! I also played with the type of clay in a few of them which resulted in darker or lighter shades. The idea was to have them all look exactly the same, but that’s the unpredictability of firing and working with ceramics definitely teaches you to accept and celebrate accidents 💕

This project is as an exploration of how the same form could serve different functions. I started by 3d printing a polygonal 3d form, which was then casted to create a plaster mould. Once the mould was ready, I prepared a porcelain slip from scratch to create multiple versions of the same form. Each was treated with a different glaze and different surfaces were elilmanted to enable different functions. Seen in the 5th picture are 2 of 5 casted objects, which serve as table lamps in different ways. One is left hollow to create a glowing light, the other has one surface carved out to create a backlight effect. In the absence of the bulb, they serve as tiny planters or pen holders. The choice of using porcelain was intentional as it allows light to pass through it depending on the thickness of the walls.

In June 2024, I quit my 3 year long job at The Busride Design Studio, to pursue a master's degree abroad. Planning to take a short sabbatical of 2-3 months while preparing to move, I decided to indulge a long time dream of trying out ceramics. If you've followed this page or my personal account, you'd remember the air dry jewellery and objects I made during the pandemic - which were the very beginning of Etch Products. I remember falling in love with the primitive act of making with my hands, being in sync with the material and getting to know its properties - slowly developing a relationship with it. That's the thing I enjoyed most about my short stint with @clayworksstudio_ . Chetana was kind enough to lend her studio space and materials to me so that I could learn to make a set of plates, bowls and cups as farewell gifts for loved ones. I loved spending my sabbatical with her, popping in every other day to work on these gifts! Pictured in this carousel are some of the many products I made with Chetana's guidance at Clayworks! Highly recommend their studio and their workshops ✨ #ceramic #clay
Throwback to playing a small role in collaborating with @mymicronsketchbook for this beautiful light design during my tenure at The Busride. Of all the elements, we worked on the resin panel at the rear end of the light installation. Catch it at Cirqa designed by @thebusride in Mumbai !

I recently moved to London to pursue a dual master's degree in Arts and Engg at UAL and KIT. I now have access to some incredible workshops, which means I've been working on many personal projects on the side. From exploring a line of ceramic products, making my own coffee table, exploring different techniques and technologies, digital and manual - I'm excited to share more soon!
I have never had this much time to dedicate towards purely thinking and doing and I'm looking forward to immersing in exploring my practice!

The Future of Work : Leo Burnett India Mumbai Office, handed over in 2022 with @thebusride and @chethisoutt //
In the photographs :
The Cafe ( zone d).
This space was all about levels, socialising, taking a break, leisure and food! The snow lime Kota meets the IPS flooring with a muted grey and cool color palette. The amphitheatre extends and becomes playful arms with steps, tables, stages, nooks etc, making the cafeteria a place of work and discussion in addition to grabbing some food!
What a fun ride it was! More pictures coming in the next posts for the other zones we did in the office!

The Conservatory ( zone b).
My first project as an architect and the first little zone that I got to design, detail and execute as a fresher!
This zone was all about working within a green house - warmth, vegetation, flood of lights, engineering of steel through all elements like the light rigs, tables, partitions - muted details - filigree meets scarpa meets contemporary meets pure white and a splash of terracotta !

Had a great experience discussing the question - "What does home mean to you?" with my friend and colleague from my SEA days @swarajdhuri hosted by @notyourbuklaw@museumfortheun@compound13lab and @sharmilasamant . It was such a unique opportunity to talk to the portal in Addis Adaba, Ethiopia and find nuances in our common experiences of home!
Thank you for hosting us !
