Fragile encounters with nature
🪽 Ester Vonplon’s work Wingbeat brings together fragile traces of plants, fungi, stones and other elements encountered during her walks through remote Swiss Alpine landscapes. On her hikes, she lays out more than 100-year-old Cellofix paper to capture delicate encounters with nature using photograms.
🌿 Inspired by the botanists of the 19th century,
@estervonplon gathers visual traces of the landscapes she explores. Her photograms are not scientific documents but open reflections. With ecosystems becoming increasingly fragile, she describes her works as memento mori, reflecting both the beauty and the transience of nature.
