The 2026 edition of E.A.T., taking place from 23 to 25 January 2026 in Zuoz, will centre around the theme of ‘Bonds & Gaps’. This theme reflects on the relationship between closeness and distance, connection and separation. How do we respond to the drifting apart of social groups, and what role can art play in bridging divides and creating new forms of connectedness?
“It is by thinking about and with one another, by being together that new forces and movements can emerge. We need to find new forms of togetherness. It’s urgent to build bridges and foster togetherness in today’s world and when we go beyond the fear of pooling knowledge and break down silos, we can do just that.”
— Hans Ulrich Obrist (
@hansulrichobrist ), E.A.T. curator and artistic director of the Serpentine Galleries.
