I Loop You Vol. 1 is finally out on most platforms earlier this year, i sent out a prompt for this compilation. something along the lines of “.. a collection of tracks that exist in the margins- fragile, imperfect, and beautifully distorted. Deliberate, yet grounded in a sense of emotional wear. Centering music that priorities feeling over precision, process over polish, and texture over perfection.” stumbling across compilations over the years has shaped my taste and led me to discover so many artists i probably would not have come across otherwise. there’s something deeply personal about curation that i have always appreciated. thank you so much to all the artists who contributed to this, each person interpreted the prompt in similar but different ways that compliment each track. my vision for this comp translated in ways i hoped for & more. a big part of that was because each artist on here is genuinely talented and grounded in their own taste and style. i began this project around six months ago without knowing what the following months would bring. somewhere along the way, it turned into a time capsule. each track reflecting moments of change, transition, and emotion i experienced while moving across the coast. i also have a new alias on here “pluk” :) enjoy listen in order!! fully curated & executed by me @esp_urr art by @boy.s & @jrdanmedina mastering by @luckyluckystrike__

Uniting Entity intercepts Amsterdam / Tokyo collective @seedlink.plus for their first visit to Los Angeles at @airlinerbar on Sunday, May 17th. ity, co-founder of Seedlink⁺, is an electronic artist and graphic designer based in Amsterdam. His forthcoming music builds on 2024’s “No Road No Problem”, combining slice-of-life daydream vocals with synth-forward glitchy production. Whereas in the past his persona was built around the idea of the bedroom producer, with his new release he is ready to step into the limelight. Yoong, based in Tokyo, Japan, co-founded Seedlink⁺ and produces for @1ldk____ His productions and DJ sets are influenced by early 2000s nerdy house music and are characterized by a mix of melancholy and tongue-in-cheek sound effects. Massi is a producer from Sacramento whose colorful extended universe includes LavanderGarden and teddy bear band. Their catalog, spread across soundcloud like a scavenger hunt, ties twee-sentiment to evocative sound design with a loopy epic bow. Settings may include: autumn walks through crispy leaves, school trips to the aquarium, sporting events in the jungle, or the morning routine of a squirrel. This will be Massi’s first live performance. espurr is a Bay Area born, New York based DJ, artist, and curator also known as pluk. Last year, she released the indietronica compilation “i loop you” through her creative imprint @xqt.me Her sound is shaped by early internet exploration of digging through corners of the web, discovering archive compilations, and growing up within a culture of online sharing and musical excavation. In both her sets and music, she prioritizes feeling over perfection.
