After 3 weeks and time to reflect, I’ve finally gotten my head in order to close the book on One in the Chamber volume 1. With all of the time and energy put in, the day felt so rewarding! 🙌 Watching @giantjayyy teach with such passion and to see his workshop overflow with people really made my heart full. I’m a true believer that the DMV needs more opportunities to grow and learn than just competition. Having heads come from Boston, VA beach and the DMV come down with some unexpected match-ups were both spicy and fun. Felt like worlds collidin fr. 🤺🤯 Honestly, what made it so special was to see people I’ve known for so long who have worked so hard in their craft come together in a space, not typical, Richmond, VA, build up this energy that was so palpable…was pure hip hop magic, mannnnnn. You could feel it in the room. I love this shit. It keeps me goin. ❤️‍🔥 Thank you to my judges @giantjayy , @prof.church.elsv , @_harse_ for holdin it down. To @rylospinna for spinning, but most importantly, that after party hosted by @_infinite.peace_ that blew me to oblivion! To my ride-or-die homie @joeheecho for supporting me in planning and coordinating. My partner, my love, my heart @alisanguyens for always being there with me through every step of the jam process. My crew for always supporting and being there! (instagramless Jon, @a.limb , @justroyal_mst ) I try to make a statement everytime I throw a jam, and this one was back to being in the cypher in a format that makes warriors stand out. Shout-outs to the winners @kevindatvan for seeing him wake-up in confidence, @a.limb for pulling out Gohan energy haha, and @bboysykes for continually growing and really getting comfortable in self. Primetime Breaks VI Footwork Champ 👑 Wanted to take a moment to recognize myself. Honestly, was going through a hard chapter in breaking before this jam, so it made this win feel that much sweeter. I had a talk with God that day that if breaking was meant for me, that if dancing is the way, then show me. Powerful.
