I adopted Silver a month ago, on the 7th of April.
Arriving at @eastvalleyshelter for my appointment to see her, I was greeted by a scared and frightened dog. Laying down and shaking on the floor. After a few calls back and forth with my parents to calm my worries, I decided to adopt her. Lifting her into the car was just the start of our journey together. On that very first day she managed to run away, causing an hour long chase with 7 of my neighbors. Throughout this month she’s overcome many of her fears. Being a yard dog, she was afraid of entering the doorway into the apartment. Silver began obedience training with the help of @mybestfriendobedience . She even for play dates with @adam.schechter dog Karma. Although we still have a long way ahead of us, I am proud to give her a home and the love she deserves. •
