CONBODY vs EVERYBODY is a five-part doc series that premiered at @sundanceorg and is coming to NYC @docnycfest on November 17th & 21st. Directed by Debra Granik, the series follows @cossmarte over 8 years as he rebuilds his life after incarceration and creates the unique @conbody gym advocating for criminal justice reform one fitness class at a time. The film’s immersive observational approach that offers an up-close look at the bonds that can be build between a community and people coming home from prison. First steps in 100 days! Baby is walking and baking his way into 2023 🐣🦌

When you get hit by a car, make it into a sick Halloween costume! 🎬👦🏻🛴👽 🌕 Backstory: Exactly a month ago, I was stopped at an intersection on my motorcycle when an SUV jumped the median, heading directly into oncoming traffic, and was decidedly about to flatten me. I jumped out of its way only to get hit by a different car, coming from behind me. 🤪 It crushed my foot and broke 11 of the 26🦶bones. But! I wore the right gear, and I got lucky af: no surgery necessary. Not only did I survive, but I’ll be fine.🍀 Takeaways: The last month has been lonely, sad and really hard — but it has also been so emotionally satisfying to lean on my community and feel support from friends and fam. I’ve been reluctant to post about it, feeling like I was soliciting pity. And I felt guilty, cuz everyone knows riding a motorcycle is dangerous, so whattaya expect buddy! (last known photo on slide 7) But talking about trauma is the way we move past it. So I’m talking. I can’t walk for another month, and it’s 4 flights of stairs to get out of the house. The days are long for a spaz like me who needs to be out and about to feel sane and safe. And I’ll be ok, obvi 😘🥰 but if you wanna come over, I’d love to see you. And it’ll mean a lot. ❤️🧡💛 xoxo.
