A magical night of beautiful celebration of British creativity, craftsmanship and artistry… āœØšŸ‡¬šŸ‡§šŸŒø A glorious evening bringing together the worlds of couture and sculpture through a very special collaboration between my friend, British couturier @stewart_parvin , and award-winning sculptor @rupert_till — perfectly timed to celebrate the upcoming ā€œRHS Chelsea Flower Showā€ and ā€œChelsea in Bloom festivalā€ . For those discovering them for the first time… ✨ Stewart is one of Britain’s most respected couture designers, renowned for his timeless elegance, exquisite tailoring and refined craftsmanship, dressing some of the world’s most distinguished women over several decades and he famously dressed Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and created many of her most iconic looks. A number of his beautiful designs are currently featured in a major retrospective exhibition at Buckingham Palace until October — an absolute must-see for lovers of British fashion and royal history. ✨ Rupert Till is an internationally acclaimed sculptor celebrated for his iconic wire animal sculptures — especially his magnificent hares and horses — full of movement, poetry and emotion. The boutique itself has been transformed into a glorious spring dream both inside and outside thanks to the floral artistry of Matthew Dickinson and his team @dickinsondoris Studio, overflowing with blossom, foliage and seasonal flowers creating the most enchanting atmosphere. 🌿🌸 If you are in London over the next few weeks, do not hesitate to pop in and admire these beautiful masterpieces from Stewart and Rupert in person. There’s something magical about baking a cake… ✨ The gentle ritual of weighing, whisking, folding and waiting while the kitchen slowly fills with the most comforting smell in the world. Cakes are so much more than flour, butter and sugar… they are celebration, comfort, reward and sometimes even therapy. What a glorious evening at the annual Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards held in the magnificent setting of the Royal Exchange, London āœØšŸ„‚ Every year, this very special celebration shines a light on the very best in food writing, broadcasting, photography and storytelling while also championing exciting new voices and emerging talent across the UK food scene. And somehow, only @fortnums can bring together in one room such an incredible mix of chefs, writers, broadcasters, restaurateurs, photographers and passionate food lovers. A rare opportunity for all of us to pause, reconnect and celebrate friendship, creativity and the extraordinary richness of Britain’s food culture… all over flowing Champagne, beautiful seafood and fantastic food created by the Fortnum’s chefs themselves. In a world moving so fast, evenings like this remind us how powerful food can be — bringing people together, creating conversations and inspiring the next generation of talent. New month … and yes, another year around the sun ā˜€ļøšŸŽ‚ What a beautiful long Bank Holiday weekend it has been… taking time to celebrate, slow down and simply enjoy life ..and of course ā€œune BrassĆ©eā€ of lily of the valley .. in a matching @lalique vase … We started with the wonderfully immersive Le Chat Noir — a deliciously louche dinner cabaret transporting you straight back to the golden days of Montmartre in Paris… when absinthe was dripping, artists and poets collided over decadent food, and the night always promised a little mischief. Such great fun. Contrary to the forecast, the sun came out perfectly for a long birthday lunch at the iconic @therivercafelondon . Funnily enough, the brilliant food writer @tompbowles had just written a four-page piece on this legendary 39-year-old institution and its founder @ruthierogers that morning in @youmagazine .. As always, the warmest service from Noel and Freddie, with Charles gracefully overseeing that beautiful ballet of simplicity in the dining room — making everybody feel instantly at home. The food? Absolute perfection. The first asparagus of the season, a magnificent veal chop, the dreamiest grappa panna cotta with Gariguette strawberries… and of course the legendary Birthday Nemesis chocolate cake, which frankly deserves its own page in the Larousse Gastronomique. Bank Holiday Monday was intentionally slow and indulgent… ā€œÅ“uf Ć  la russeā€ for breakfast — a soft @clarence_court Burford Brown egg topped with a generous spoon of @attilus_caviar caviar. Strong coffee. A glass of @krugchampagne šŸ„‚. Growing older never felt so good. To conclude the weekend, the Olivier Award-winning @mspike in ā€œInter Aliaā€ — an extraordinary performance not to be missed before it heads to Broadway this autumn, much to the delight of my US followers. Feeling happy, grateful, inspired… and very ready to embrace this new year ā¤ļø

Sunshine on the table, birds in the background… it’s officially frittata weather ā˜€ļøšŸŒæ This petit pois frittata is my go-to for an effortless spring lunch or a laid-back weekend brunch — light, fresh, and packed with those sweet little bursts of green goodness. Simple, elegant, and best enjoyed with a glass of something chilled in the garden… Ingredients 4 large eggs @clarence_court 80 ml double cream (or whole milk for lighter) 120 g petit pois (fresh or frozen, blanched & drained) 40 g feta or goat’s cheese, crumbled @odysea_ltd 30 g grated Parmesan 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped 1 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped Zest of ½ lemon Salt & freshly ground black pepper @maldonsalt @epicesroellinger 1 tbsp olive oil or a knob of butter Method Preheat Oven to 180°C (fan 160°C). Prepare the base Heat your 7ā€ @hexclad_europe pan over medium heat with the olive oil or butter. Egg mixture In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the cream until silky. Add: Parmesan Herbs Lemon zest Seasoning Assemble Scatter the petit pois evenly in the pan, then pour over the egg mixture. Gently crumble the feta/goat’s cheese on top. Cook + bake Let it cook on the hob for 2–3 minutes until the edges just start to set. Transfer to the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, until just set but still slightly soft in the centre. Finish Rest for a couple of minutes before serving. A final drizzle of olive oil or a squeeze of lemon lifts everything beautifully. ✨ Chef’s touch A few shaved asparagus tips or courgette ribbons work beautifully with the peas For a more indulgent version, add a few torn slices of smoked salmon just before serving Serve warm, not piping hot—that’s when the texture is at its most elegant #recipe #cooking #chef #springcooking #baking
