Nina Nadig is a visual artist based in Frankfurt and Norway. Her practice involves sculpture, drawing, and sound, developed through site-sensitive processes. For the event at Schauspiel Frankfurt, she continues her work with field recordings, investigating spatial conditions and their estrangement. Through acts of recording and re-recording, she examines how sound accumulates, transforms, and reshapes our sense of place.

Weronika Wysocka is visual artist and performer, based in Berlin. Her practice is grounded in an ongoing dialogue with reality, reflecting on what is visible, felt, and imagined. Drawing from cosmogonic theories, Slavic mythology, symbolism, and contemporary social conditions, she works through a queer, feminist, ecological, and post-anarchist lens, cultivating these perspectives both in her art and everyday life.
In the performance BRIGHT DARKNESS AND DARK BRIGHTNESS, a figure dressed as a candle ascends a surreal, lantern-shaped sculpture that serves as their stage. Through spoken word and physical expression, the piece opens an imaginative space, where light and darkness, existence and nonexistence ripple and shift, tracing the universal search for purpose amidst life’s chaos.

Alexandra Gruebler is a Berlin-based composer, producer and performer of electroacoustic music. Her artistic practice employs a dialogic interaction between the topography of her voice and various processed instruments such as the pipe organ, bagpipes, acoustic artefacts and poetics. With her solo project Baal & Mortimer she has released on Bureau B/ Tapete Records, ITALIC, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf and Objects&Sounds. She was the Mentee of Laurel Halo (Amplify Berlin 2018) and Greg Fox (Forecast Forum 2023).
For the event at Schauspiel Frankfurt, Alexandra Gruebler develops a live set that treats the voice as a transmitting agent in a ritualized realm between discipline and drift, control and release. Vocality becomes a surface for sensing and articulation, leaking through harmonic scaffolds built on improvisation and field recordings.

Interfacing Rituals brings together contributions — produced and transmitted within technological spheres — that navigate the symbolic. Through a live event and its mirrored online broadcast, the program traces the energy of sound as a blueprint for ritual before it crystallizes into meaning. It also dwells on the potential of collective and individual listening as a situated experience, where ritual and performance naturally intersect.
Interfacing Rituals is made possible through the generous support of the Cultural Office of the City of Frankfurt and Schauspiel Frankfurt.
