Faced a very experienced black belt. Unfortunately, he got DQ’d for reaping my knee. I was up 5 points & defended the position well so I was a bit confused (hence last picture)—I thought we were getting reset in the center since we were right at the edge of the mat but my hand was raised haha.
Definitely not how I imagined winning, but grateful for the experience. 🙏🔥

After 12 long years, I finally reunited with my younger brothers in Berlin to celebrate our birthdays! We're born just one day apart - April 10 and 11. The last time we saw each other was back in Venezuela in 2011, and before that, it was in 2003 before they moved with my Dad to Pittsburgh and I moved with my Mom to Canada. It's crazy how time flies, but nothing compares to the joy of reuniting with family.
Family truly is everything and I'm grateful for this unforgettable reunion in Germany.
