✈️ ✨ Year 2: Taking Flight! ✨✈️ Year 2 have spent weeks with their heads in the clouds -quite literally-exploring how humans have tried to take to the skies throughout history. From the ancient tale of Daedalus and Icarus, to the Montgolfier brothers’ hot air balloon, the first brave glider pilots, and finally the Wright brothers soaring into the record books… our young engineers have been captivated. Inspired by these aviation pioneers, the children then set about designing and making their own planes. They measured, sawed, cut, fixed, adjusted… and problem‑solved every time something wobbled, snapped, or simply refused to behave. Real DT grit. The results? Exciting news Edmonton! Registration is now open for 4-H Intro Clubs at Westview Village Community Hall. These six-week, hands-on programs are designed for youth ages 9-15 to explore new activities, build confidence, and make friends—all in one convenient program. Families can select a six-week club that works best, each meeting once a week from 6:30 to 8:30 pm: Intro Club #1 - Mondays starting Feb 23 Intro Club #2 - Wednesdays starting April 8 No more running around to multiple programs! Youth can try a different hands-on activity each week while learning about 4-H. Projects include pottery, engineering, microgreens, terrariums, and cookie decorating, all designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence. 4-H Intro Clubs are a short, one-time program that offers families a fun, low-commitment way to explore 4-H.
