There’s no word, phrase or story that can capture how special my Mimi was & how special she was to me. The first 5 years of my life I went to her house almost every day where she helped care for me as my parents worked. Any good part of me is in large part because of her. She and I had a special and tight bond full of annual traditions, recipes and parts of my heritage she passed to me and the sense that we both just got each other. I’ve had time to reflect on the numerous positive memories I have with her and I just feel so grateful to have been her granddaughter. I have felt her in every moment of my days since she passed away and I know that feeling will never ever leave.
