Very happy that Yassine El Mansouri (@elmanstudio )won an Individual Artist Grant this year from @arl_artscene . Yassine was the Arlington Art Truck documentarian photographer for about five years. His project involves taking photos of the staff at the County’s Solid Waste Bureau with their trucks/vehicles with assitance from his staff but also teaching photo students from Arlington public high schools. The photos will be given to the Solid Waste Bureau to use in various formats - web, social media and possibly framed prints. He and his crew set up an outdoor shoot at the very end of the trades yard behind a monster pile of leaf mulch.
