I’ve been working on a project since the new year, and I'm happy to finally share it with you. Welcome, Transmission Archive. Transmission Archive is my new platform for conversations around music and culture. Archive #001 : @mobofringe . I will be curating and hosting in conversations with an amazing line-up: #Merky Books, Art Not Evidence, Ellen Beth Abdi, Superlative, and DJ Paulette at @renae.mcr 💚 We join the all-day MOBØRIGINS lineup at @renae.mcr , co-curated with @54.agency and @melophile.uk . The In Conversations run from 3 PM – 8 PM, with the full MOBØRIGINS event going 3 PM – 3 AM on 21.03.2026. Transmission archive aims to be a relaxed, welcoming space with open conversation and good vibes. Positive energy. Strictly no hate. Everyone is welcome. Our motto: Listen to some conversations. Have a dance. Be nerdy. Enjoy the space. Meet someone new. Love music. Celebrate Black culture. Transmission Archive #001. More to come. Big thanks to @mobofringe @north_inc_ @mobolise @moboawards 💚 Design by @pearlthompsonstudio 💚

The Guardian - Little Simz, Co-op Live ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big news: I've made my debut writing for The Guardian reviewing Little Simz at Co-op live in Manchester last night. This feels like a massive achievement for me. I can't believe it! I've been truly blessed with support from amazing editors. My writing career has really blown up in the last year. Have a read. 🔗

I am so excited to share that I have been asked to be a selector for this year's Green Man Rising competition 2026. @greenmanfest 🥹 My job is to listen through this year’s longlist (alongside some other amazing music journalists) and help choose five artists and bands for the live final in Cardiff for a chance to play at the festival this year. A total JOY to be involved and to help support grassroots bands and new artists. 💚💚💚⚡⚡

A few words from my first curated In Conversation series. Still taking in how special this first gathering felt. We were grateful to welcome a sold-out room, The Other People Place at Renae. Thank you to everyone who came through, and to the artists who trusted me with their stories and reflections. This one goes out to DJ Paulette, Superlative, Ellen Beth Abdi, Art Not Evidence and #Merky Books for helping me shape such a meaningful first event with Transmission Archive for the Music of Black Origin Awards Fringe festival. Big love to my co-curators for MOBØRIGINS: Josh Inyang, Jahqira Henry and Adele Tondu. This is just a small acknowledgement for now. More moments, videos and photos from the night coming soon... Love, Transmission Archive (Amelia) 📸 @konstantinamav__ + @hiarchiedavidson

We close our In Conversation series at Transmission Archive with DJ Paulette. Join us on 21.03.26 at Renae as part of MOBØRIGINS for the MOBO Fringe. DJ Paulette is a Manchester legend and dancefloor icon. We couldn’t think of a better artist to celebrate the run-up to the MOBO Awards in Manchester. DJ Paulette built her reputation at the iconic Flesh nights at The Haçienda and has since shaped an international career across club residencies, broadcasting and performing. Her life experiences are detailed in her debut memoir, Welcome to the Club: The Life and Lessons of a Black Woman DJ. Across decades in music, she has helped open space for Black women and LGBTQIA+ communities. At Transmission Archive, we’re proud to spotlight Paulette’s achievements and celebrate her legacy here in Manchester. 📍Renae, Manchester. 6:55pm. We have limited space: FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED

2025. A totally crazy year for me. 💛 The Guardian — I made my debut for The Guardian with a review of Little Simz and have written a few more since then. Writing for The Guardian has always been a goal of mine (to prove to myself I was a proper journo) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rolling Stone — I made my debut for Rolling Stone (!!) with a review of My Bloody Valentine at @factory_international . ⭐⭐⭐⭐ @seen_universe — I wrote an article on the Decolonisation of Electronic music interviewing DJ and producer Afrodeutsche, with a beautiful team of writers. @dancepolicy — I wrote a cover story with @bradleyzero and @rhythmsectionhq , discussing Peckham as a cultural hub and its importance in British music! This was my first 'pitched' cover story. From my brain to print. It came together better than I imagined. Crack Magazine — I made my debut writing for Crack this year and wrote a few features with @annahstasia , @hotcocoacartel , and @upchuck . And the EOY album and tracklist review! Merch Market — I tag-teamed interviews with the legendary @mr_dave_haslam for the Manchester Merch Market, helping bands sell their merch and keep 100 per cent of the income. Thanks to @timburgessofficial for the opportunity. Granada Studios — I guested on a podcast about Manchester’s music scene and grassroots venues with the team at @soledadrev and @oliarthurwilson . A big honour to be in Tony Wilson's presence at Granada. Notion — I interviewed @novatwinsmusic for The Artists Volume 2, talking about women of colour in rock music and being badass. It Starts With The Music — I worked with @soundwithmike to host talks in Stockport for young people interested in working in music. More to come 2026! Big up SK1 ! Home. I reviewed @weoutherefest for @clashmagazine . Round 2. 2026? Best festival ever. I think I've been in print more than ten times this year... which seems a bit crazy to say. And... I went to more gigs than you could imagine. 2026, what are you saying? Coming for ya. ✅

The Guardian - Wolf Alice, AO Arena ⭐⭐⭐⭐ "She has long since abandoned her tousled blonde locks for something closer to PJ Harvey on a glam-rock bender." @wolfaliceband for @guardian 📸: @vonpip

Oh, hello @rollingstoneuk ... My Bloody Valentine, Aviva Studios, Manchester ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Made my debut with Rolling Stone earlier this week waxing lyrical about the noise veterans @mbvofficial in Manchester on Monday. Yes, it was very loud. Wear earplugs. 📸: @whammoth 💗

The Guardian - Lorde, AO Arena ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "You tasted my underwear, I knew we were fucked." An ode to situationships and late-20s messy behaviour.
