Ever since he moved from Sofia to Berlin at the turn of the century, Emil stood out as a disco digger who knows it all. Showcasing his eclectic side around Europe for over two decades, and after numerous projects and party nights like Mirage and People Like Us, Emil found a new home at Sameheads. Now he’s reuniting with Edin after eleven years.
The rest of the crew, Alicia Carrera and Electric Evelyn, are in Ali’s hands at Karmakoma after Dim.

💥 Once again, we’re building the Berlin–Sofia connection — and that’s no coincidence.
This time, our guest is:
✨ FRANZ SCALA / SLOWMOTION RECORDS.
Born in Italy and based in Berlin, he’s well known for his music label Slowmotion Records and his numerous productions and remixes. Inspired by the retro-futuristic sound of the 1980s, Franz has successfully managed to integrate the romantic retro element of that music into a modern club sound.
✨ Supporting him for the evening is the Italian representative of the Bulgarian alternative scene, SIMONE TV, known to all as the runner of the music collective ROPOTAMO CO and the wonderful cultural space BOBBINA.
✨ The third participant and curator of the event is Emil DD, whose music will speak for itself as his personal signature for the night.
Emil Doesn’t Drive was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and moved to Berlin in 2004 where soon after he started collecting disco, italo, space disco, wave and new beat records, he taught himself how to mix different sounds and styles, influenced by the vibrant German capital.
One year later he became resident DJ of the Laserdance nights at Club 103 and started playing regularly at some of Berlin’s finest clubs. In 2007 he created his own party Mirage and a few years later he joined forces with Sameheads for several extraordinary concept parties which are still on top of all disco parties Berlin has experienced in recent years.
Now he is booked all over at clubs such as Salon des Amateurs, Erste Liga, Golden Pudel Club, and regularly plays at big parties abroad like BumBum in Helsinki, Copenhagen Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Edno Magazine parties, Family Groove in Poland, and more.
He’s joining Fabrizio Mammarella and Charlie for a night of constant groove this Friday!
