No catwalks. Just chambray. Chambray traces back to the 1500s, originally cambric, from Cambrai, France. It entered American use in 1901, when the U.S. Navy adopted chambray shirts alongside denim. Soon after, it was worn by miners, railroad workers, mechanics — for comfort, durability, function. That’s where “blue collar” comes from. Still here in 2026. Often mistaken for denim. 1 — @pikebrotherscompany Roamer 1937 chambray shirt. 2 — @benzakdenimdevelopers selvedge chambray (5oz).

This one is not about what you see. Papier d’Arménie. @papier_darmenie_officiel A French incense paper dating back to 1885, made from small strips infused with benzoin resin. Used to sanitize the air, deodorize and softly scent rooms, drawers, or clothes. It started with Auguste Ponsot, a French chemist who, after visiting Armenia, saw locals burning benzoin to cleanse and perfume their homes. Together with pharmacist Henri Rivier, he turned that ritual into incense paper, introduced in Paris at the end of the 19th century. It was shown at the 1889 Universal Exposition — the same year the Eiffel Tower was unveiled. The small green booklets have barely changed. Still produced in Montrouge, just outside Paris. Still run by the co-founder’s great-granddaughter. Notes of myrrh, sage, lavender, cedarwood — with a warm, resinous base. Burn one strip at a time, 3–4 times per week. Ventilate the room. Let the smoke settle You can buy it @maisondusavonbucuresti P.S The outfit @apc_paris trench coat in English waxed cotton, @redwingheritage Postman 101 shoes, @levis.vintage.clothing 501 (1922), @moscotnyc Dahven sunglasses.

From my personal archive. I’m not a watch collector. But the @seikowatchofficial SPB153, inspired by the 6105-8110, naturally complements the denim, workwear, and military pieces I gravitate towards. Seiko entered the dive watch space in 1965 with the 62MAS — Japan’s first professional diver. In the early 1970s, the 6105-8110 was introduced. 44mm steel case. Large for its time. Asymmetrical profile. Crown at 4 o’clock. 150 meters of water resistance. A push-and-twist locking system marked “LOCK”. It was built as a tool. During the Vietnam War era, many U.S. servicemen purchased the 6105 from PX stores across Asia. It wasn’t officially issued. It was personally trusted. In 1979, the watch appeared in Apocalypse Now, worn by Martin Sheen as Captain Willard. The nickname stayed. Japanese explorer Naomi Uemura wore a 6105 during his 12,000 km solo dog-sled expedition from Greenland to Alaska. Others relied on it in Antarctica. It even made its way into astronaut training environments. Production ended decades ago. Original examples are becoming harder to find. Demand continues to rise. Today, the SPB153 carries the same silhouette and spirit. Modern mechanics. Same tool-watch DNA. Military roots. Exploration heritage. Cinema legacy. What’s on your wrist today? It’s been a while since I last posted from my personal archive. Today, I want to highlight the M-51 field trousers — a military design that most people recognize through hip-hop and skate culture as what we now call cargo pants. Originally adopted by the U.S. military in 1951, the M-51 was developed for extreme cold as part of a modular field system alongside the M-51 field jacket. It introduced a functional six-pocket layout, a relaxed straight fit for layering, and adjustable drawcords at the waist and hem. These trousers are @buzzricksons_official faithful homage to the U.S. Army M-1951 Field Trousers, produced in Japan with meticulous attention to original fabric, construction, and details. Picked up this pair in #London at @sonofastag Over time, cargo pants moved beyond their military origins and found a place within the Japanese City Boy aesthetic — a deliberately loose blend of oversized American casual wear, Ivy style, and subtle European influences.
