WEDNESDAY TRACK ENERGY – ERC x HOKA Crystal Palace National Stadium Wednesday night’s session was more than just laps on a track, it was a celebration of connection, culture, and community, right in the heart of our local neighbourhood. We teamed up with @hoka_eu for an unforgettable evening at one of the UK’s most iconic athletics venues, bringing together our ERC family and HOKA to move, share, and grow together. This session wasn’t just about pace or performance, it was about building real relationships between HOKA and the very communities who support, inspire, and reflect them. It’s a reflection of our shared values: a commitment to understanding, shown through actively meeting the needs of underserved communities, reducing barriers to entry, and creating spaces where everyone feels a sense of belonging and where culture is honoured, celebrated, and shared. From testing out the latest Bondi 9, Clifton 10 and Cielo X1 2.0, to sharing stories and strides, the energy was real. All while enjoying nourishing food and drink from @auntymadge_cc , @vitacoco , and @vitacoco @canowater to keep us fuelled, hydrated, and connected. At ERC, we know that when we move together, we heal together and the outcomes go far beyond the finish line: better physical health, stronger mental wellbeing, and a more inclusive future for us all. Can’t believe it’s already a week since over 40 ERC Warriors from around the globe came and took on the @londonmarathon !!!! And it all came down to this. Months and months of training in the rain, the dark, through the injuries and life struggles, the doubts, the confidence, the super high highs and the depressingly low lows! It all paid off in the end and our running and walking family did us proud, together with the support of our pacers, cheerers, family, friends and all who donated towards the work of our sponsored charity the @sicklecelluk (with our continued focus on promoting their @givebloodspreadlove campaign) , as well as to ERC! Your donations are HUGELY appreciated and will help to continue the hard work done by us and SCS! Thank you all for your messages of congratulations and support! And there’s still time to donate! When we look back at the ERC journey in the London Marathon we can scarcely believe the growth in participation over the last 5 years. Three of our crew ran the London Marathon in 2019 and this year we had around 43 running coming to London from across the globe, how many next year???? ERC does Bijlmer Run 2026!!!! Last year 7 of us from @emancipatedruncrew came out to Bijlmer, Amsterdam to experience this black race in a diverse part of the city. This year we came 23 strong (21 of whom ran!) and what a day we had! PBs were obtained, medals were collected (huge salute to @parkrunneruk who did a park run then went on to do a 5k, 10k and half marathon back to back!!!), friends were made and people were cheered to the finish line (we had the best cheerleading squad!!!). An amazing race with a great route and organisation. The event also helps to raise money for the Sickle Cell Fund-an initiative close to our hearts. We need more crews from London heading out to do this run! So happy we were able to support @delano_zand and the team at @bijlmerrun for another year. I hope they continue to keep the event deeply cultural and centred in community! Well done guys!!!🎊🎊🎊🎊 Thank you so much to @shrnhasselbaink for recommending this race, keeping us well informed over the past four-five months and organising everything for us-we appreciate you! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Fun fact!: Each year the Bijlmer Run medal features a prominent black person important to the Black community. Huge love and gratitude to @oofos.uk for gifting recovery sliders to our ERC London Marathon runners. Many of our runners completed their first World Major last month, so having the right recovery support after months of training and race day effort means everything. Our community was genuinely excited to receive these special boxed deliveries and feel looked after post-marathon. At ERC, we always talk about movement, community and wellness — and recovery is a huge part of that journey.
