Em Frank and I have been collaborating on a new body of work. The first half of the work will be showing from June 2nd at @central.gallery_ as part of the show Fragmentary State. These works explore expanded painting through ceramics, aluminium and steel and question the status of everyday materials and how context can define their value. Through making these works, we’ve developed a strong collaborative practice built on skill sharing and experimentation. We’re incredibly grateful for the support that @createsa_ has provided for this project. We’re really excited to share this work! Stay tuned for more updates.

This year I’ve been doing a big collaborative project with @miles.dunne.artist ✨ It’s been wonderful and generative to be part of a shared creative process after two intense (incredible) years honing in on my own work as an associate at the Jam. We’ve been making some pretty experimental works that smoosh together our individual practices, drawing on ceramics, metal fab, lead lighting and reclaimed materials. Lots of skills sharing and brain explosions trying to understand how the other person sees and works, which is hard and fantastic all at once. We’ll be showing the work across two shows later this year, Fragmentary State @adelaidecentralschool and Light on the Bedroom Wall @craftvictoria 🎈 Feeling extremely greatful to have received funding from @createsa_ and to have so much technical / community / friendship / emotional support from fellow hustlers @washdog.studio @fab_workshop @iwiriarts and @jamfactoryau ✨ The Adelaide arts community is a special thing ➰
