Marvel Art Atelier is an annual invitation for 5 artists to be mentored by top Marvel artists in a training program course. When I first got the news in the early part of 2025 that I was selected for the program, I couldn’t believe it (Right up to flying off, I still didn’t believe it LOL).
To be invited not just to to participate in a Marvel workshop mentored by master artists, but also to visit Paris Disneyland? Insane, esp for a lifelong comic (and Disney) fan. It remains the coolest thing that has ever happened to me 😄❤️.
All the fun aside (Disneyland!!), the program was an incredible course in storytelling to bring out the best in potential Marvel artists. I must admit that the self-doubt and pressure did creep in. But then, this also felt like something I had been preparing for my whole life and the stress was to be embraced-It was the best volcano I’ve ever been thrown into! 🤣
Thank you Marvel Art Atelier for challenging me But most of all, thank you for bringing me new friends Patrick, Rose, Tyler and Caterina - 5 individuals from completely different countries and cultures, but we bonded through our shared love for comics, Marvel, art (and sponsored trips to Paris Disneyland lol 😆). I’m proud to have experienced this with all of you and I look forward to what the future holds for us!
