We are so deeply grateful to all those who joined us and to every extraordinary artist who generously gave their time, their talent, and their voices to celebrate Elton John, the 15th Laureate of the Glenn Gould Prize. Often called the “Nobel Prize of the Arts,” we can’t think of a more deserving recipient. Elton has a remarkable gift - one that goes far beyond music. He brings people together. Through his songs, his humanity, and his life’s work, he has moved generations, changed lives, and reminded the world of the power of art to unite, to impact, and endure. That is precisely why we celebrated him.  From the exceptional dinner hosted by @milostoronto to kick off the celebratory weekend to the luminous performances of Eric McCormack, Sarah McLachlan, Diana Krall, The Beaches, LOONY, Ron Sexsmith, Jeremy Dutcher, Saya Gray, Emily D’Angelo, Ryan Wang, and the amazing tributes from Michael Buble, Bryan Adams, Robert LePage, Joni Mitchell and so many more - every moment felt like a gift. If we could recreate this night a thousand times over, we would. Thank you all. Thank you Elton. Elton John was named the 15th Laureate by an international jury of cultural leaders, thinkers, authors, playwrights, politicians and artists in recognition of his extraordinary artistic achievement and humanitarian contributions. Statement on U.S. House Appropriations advancing funding for the fight against AIDS: We applaud the U.S. House Appropriations Committee for providing billions of dollars in 2027 for the fight against AIDS around the world. This funding will help countries gradually take over and run their own HIV programs, while also supporting the important work of Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. As the process moves forward in the Senate, we hope that additional resources can be found to ensure the U.S. pledge to the Global Fund of $4.6 billion over three years is reached on an annual basis. We also hope immediate ‘bridge’ funding will be sent to the front lines to help keep people alive while new agreements with partner countries are finalized.

There's very little Elton John hasn't done in his six decades-long career. This week the legendary British musician is preparing to tread new ground: the release of his first-ever dance music remix album. Speaking ahead of the drop, @eltonjohn remembers his days as a regular at legendary nights at New York's Studio 54, Crisco Disco and Le Jardin, in conversation with @theblessedmadonna . 'Positiva Presents: Elton John - The Remixes' will arrive via @positivarecs this Saturday on Record Store Day 2026, April 18, in the form of a limited edition glow-in-the-dark green vinyl LP, becoming available digitally the next day. The album features reworks of classic hits such as 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart', 'Cold Heart', 'Hold Me Closer' and of course, 'Rocket Man’, from producers including Purple Disco Machine, Pnau, Roger Sanchez, Claptone, KDME and The Blessed Madonna. Less than two months ago, a Republican-led Congress and the President came together to pass a bipartisan budget that reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to ending the AIDS epidemic - a goal first set out in President Trump’s 2019 State of the Union. Today, we have extraordinary new tools to prevent HIV and treat it more effectively than ever before. Ending AIDS is within reach. But progress is fragile, and without sustained investment, it can quickly be reversed.   Now is not the moment to pull back. It is the moment to double down.   We urge both Congress and the Administration to once again come together to protect and strengthen funding for HIV/AIDS. Millions of lives depend on it, and the opportunity to end this epidemic, once and for all, must not be lost.

There are moments in music that feel completely new, even after all these years. Recently, I sat at my piano and played Tiny Dancer - just me, no vocals. As I played, the incredible artist Jack Coulter painted alongside me, translating every note into colour. Seeing my music through Jack’s eyes, through his gift of synaesthesia, was something so special and extraordinary. It meant so much to see it find a home during the #EJAFOscars auction, raising $275,000 to support the Foundation’s work around the world ❤️ 🚀
