Expectation: Curating my feed with perfect shots – sipping coffee, striking yoga poses in the serene Abruzzo forest, wearing cute dresses, and living my la dolce vita dreams like Sophia Loren…
Reality: Non-stop rain, getting lost on the only road, and wearing the same muddy clothes on repeat because – surprise! – cute dresses don’t work on the farm!
But these aren’t the things that will be remembered…It will be the intangible moments that couldn’t be captured in a photo anyway—the scent of the forest, the taste of the food that came directly from the farm, the warmth of the sun during savasana, and the sound of us non stop laughing that make this memory one for the books.
As they say in Italy, Brutto Ma Buono – ‘ugly but good.’ Life isn’t always picture-perfect, but does that make it any less beautiful? Not a chance. ✨🧘🏻♀️🇮🇹

Throughout the meal, we were invited in to personalized and detailed explanations of the design process by the chefs and sommelier, highlighting the ingredients used, creating a deeper connection to the food.
Every dish was an absolute star, but there was something about this pairing that made it…magic 💫thanks to sommelier @andyforsyth84

It used to really bother me when people would come into the shop and say “oh you’re still here?!”

As much as I wanted to try them, I just couldn’t take the chance so close to my aunts 85th birthday party later that day. It would not have been a good look to have have travelled all that way just to miss the main event stuck in the bathroom 😆
