#MeetEliteMonday I would like to start this series by introducing myself, a person behind this profile and founder of Elite Knitting Studio. I'm Libby. Born and raised in Kazakhstan. I moved to US with my brother in 2007 and was fortunate enough to start working at a knitwear design studio where my mom worked at that time. I learned crochet and improved my knitting skills as well as developed a deep passion for knitwear and design. Fast-forward to 2012 and my second year of college where I decided to pursue a degree in Finance and Investment (the analytical aspect of finances always fascinated me). My mom lost her job at the design studio due to less than pleasant circumstances and was looking for a new one. I was going to school and worked full time as a receptionist to help her support us. She's been knitting and teaching others to create crafts by hand for as long as I remembered, to imagine her doing anything else was impossible. So the 22 year-old me gathered all the knowledge from the 2 years of school, we reached out to ayone and everyone we knew in the industry and through an incredible intern who worked with us years before we found our first client... This is how Elite Knitting was born. In 2014 I graduated @baruch_college with the same degree I declared in the beginning. Continued to work full time and slowly build Elite Knitting one client at a time. I'm endlessly greatful for everyone who worked for us and with us all these years. And allowed me to learn and improve my knitwear and design skills. My favorite part of the job is to collaborate with client and bring their ideas to life. Sometimes I even surprise myself, when in the beginning of development I'm convinced that something is impossible to make, but through mutual support and brainstorming we always find a solution and create the most beautiful pieces which I consider wearable art. I hope that some day hand-made knitwear (and other crafts) will receive the attention and recognition it deserves. I work tirelessly to support our artisans and provide them with opportunities they may not have otherwise. * Photos by incredible @dmitrii.gretchin * #knitting #crochet #fashion #smallbusiness

Yesterday was our intern Sydney’s last day with us. She spent her entire senior year of high school interning at the studio, and watching her has been an absolute privilege. 🤍 This fall, she is off to SCAD (@scadfashiondesign ). I am endlessly proud of the work she has done here and envision such a bright, beautiful future for her. The fashion industry is going to be so lucky to have her, and I can’t wait to watch her career path unfold.

Haute couture is a game of patience and precision. Bringing the Anemone Gown to life meant abandoning standard fabrics and building our own texture, stitch by stitch. Hundreds of hand-crafted flowers, countless hours in the studio, and a vision that refused to be compromised. From the first swatch pinned to the sketch board to the final movement backstage, every detail is a testament to the art of elite craftsmanship. Muse: @modelbymiciah

The hardest stitches should look the most effortless. This is the reality of uncompromising craftsmanship—hours of perfect tension control with 100% natural silk. 🤍

I want to show you what actually goes into making our 1930s-inspired silk fan dress. Normally, a pattern like this is done with a more structured yarn. But I specifically wanted the softness and drape that only 100% natural silk can give you. The challenge here isn’t the material—silk actually holds its shape incredibly well. The real challenge is the pattern itself. It creates the illusion of expanding while using the exact same stitch over and over. To pull that off with a soft fiber like silk, the hand tension has to be insanely precise. Every single fan motif has to look exactly like the one before it and the one after it. The best part about this level of craftsmanship is the versatility. This isn’t just a bridal piece. Because it’s breathable, 100% natural silk, it’s exactly what you want to wear out for cocktails or just to look effortlessly chic when it’s warm outside. When you swipe through and look at the drape and the details, there is no faking it. It’s just hours of real human hands getting the tension exactly right.

Welcome to the new standard of bridal luxury. When I designed the Looking Friday Bridal Debut, I wanted to solve a problem: modern brides shouldn’t have to compromise on quality, fit, or their personal style just because it is a wedding event. From 1930s-inspired silk fan stitches to structured courthouse separates and our selenite-adorned showstopper gown, every single look in this collection is a made-to-order art piece. We strictly use 100% natural fibers and zero synthetics. Swipe to experience the full runway. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be taking you inside the atelier to show you exactly how these pieces were engineered. Until then... which silhouette speaks to you the most? 🤍 📸: @photobyheba Hair Stylist: @bloomsalon.studiosa @just0h MUA: @kat_mua_02 Organizer: @texasfashionindustry Producer: @hylamcg Model Coordinators: @alegria1987_ @_alex_reda_
