Behind the Brand: Meet the Looking Friday Team!
We’re a small, close-knit team made up of women and my husband who support each other as much as we create together. Some of us are mothers who bring our kids to the studio when needed. Others work from home, balancing creativity with daily life. What connects us is trust, flexibility, and a genuine love for what we do. Everyone on our team brings something special—whether it’s technical skill, fresh perspective, or quiet problem-solving behind the scenes. There’s no assembly line here—just real people who care deeply about their craft and about one another. We’re proud to be building a label where collaboration, friendship, and flexibility are part of the process. When you wear something from Looking Friday, you’re not just supporting handmade fashion—you’re supporting a real community built on mutual respect and creativity.

There’s a moment, just before a piece is finished, when it all comes together—the fiber, the form, the feeling.
The Essence was born from that space. A desire to slow down. To make with meaning. To create pieces that don’t demand attention, but hold it—quietly and completely.
This collection isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. The crease in linen that tells a story. The movement in a stitch that follows your rhythm. The artistry of something made by hand, with time, and for life.

Yesterday was our intern Sydney’s last day with us. She spent her entire senior year of high school interning at the studio, and watching her has been an absolute privilege. 🤍
This fall, she is off to SCAD (@scadfashiondesign ). I am endlessly proud of the work she has done here and envision such a bright, beautiful future for her. The fashion industry is going to be so lucky to have her, and I can’t wait to watch her career path unfold.

Haute couture is a game of patience and precision.
Bringing the Anemone Gown to life meant abandoning standard fabrics and building our own texture, stitch by stitch. Hundreds of hand-crafted flowers, countless hours in the studio, and a vision that refused to be compromised. From the first swatch pinned to the sketch board to the final movement backstage, every detail is a testament to the art of elite craftsmanship.

The Anemone Gown - Haute Couture Gown by Looking Friday
Over 300 hours of true handmade luxury. Libby Tolm outdid herself with this breathtaking piece. This gown is a perfect reflection of the Met Gala theme, "Costume Art: Fashion Is Art." Thank you so much for allowing me to wear such a stunning creation. I always adore working with you and bringing your artistry to life ❤️
