You took to your wings leaving us to navigate the storm 🕊 // You must spread your wings and fly 🕊 - Oct 2020

When I wanted/needed a beautiful sunrise in my
darkest hour, the weather provided conditions which reflected exactly how I was felt. Lost, terrified, confused and in a daze just to name a few. Mother Nature read exactly me like a book that morning from head to toe. I showed up well before the Dawn and I could already feel/tell things were not going to go as I hoped. At the time, we were just beginning an experience that I had not seen coming in my wildest dreams. Sleepless nights, losing track of time and each day as it passed, we were directionless. As day light slowly approached I began to realize that the fog/mist was here to stay. Rather than being disappointed by the sight I drew inward into the fog and along the crashing wave shoreline because it reflected everything I was thinking and feeling without even saying a word....
I continue to reminisce on the days of us all being together constantly in my mind. My thoughts continually draw back inward toward you and alll that you have done for us. I wish it were not true, but unfortunately there is now a better place for you. And we’re here left with work to do without you...

A phrase that someone once close to had always said to me. She always told me to spread my wings and fly... Though you may not be here, I hope you can still these wings I’ve grown. Thanks to you. Always and forever
From the Garden to the Desert📕
Something for the coffee table ☕️. Created my first photo book which pairs moments between the Garden State (New Jersey) and the Desert (Arizona) over the years. From starting this whole thing by organizing countless photos on my hard drive, to curating photos to pair together across my kitchen table, I’ve spent numerous hours thinking about this project. Having experienced some doubts, revisions, and overthinking along the way, I am more than happy to have brought this idea to life and saw it all the way through. I hope you all enjoy 🫶🏾✨

📝: What do you see when color is removed?
💭: “In black and white, my photographs rely upon strong composition to bring both animate and inanimate subjects to life. Without color, the images I make speak directly through intent and emotion.”
