SOUL Photography, Styling and Grooming by @ Ekua @kerlualthak8 @martine_rose @troycasting @agencyeleven @luncheonmagazine @may.glbl I’ve always been Inspired by Martine Rose. I shot a portrait of her in 2017 and the first show of hers that I went to was in Seven Sisters Market around the corner from my Aunts house and I was shooting backstage. Martines show in 2018, on a residential street in Kentish Town, was so exciting, I love love loved it. The last song was Silly Games by Janet Kelly which has a significant personal memory attached to it for me. In early 2020, I took a trip to Jamaica, with a selection of Martines pieces, which was my very first time shooting for Luncheon. Summer 2025. I decided to return to my love of shooting portraits in my garden, which was something that I used to do all the time, around 10 years ago. Back then it was stripped back - just me, my camera and my subject(s) and the models would hang out with my mum afterwards and talk about life. Revisiting this way of shooting, felt reminiscent of a previous part of my life but also like I was back in control, present to every moment and became a time of recallibration. This time I had my one year old daughter on my hip while I was shooting and travelling with me, back and forth to the Agency 11 offices. In hindsight creating these images, my daughter alongside me, is something of a personally circular moment and I am very proud of this body of work .
