This self-portrait was created as part of the exhibition @exhibition.no.time and explores the themes of (un)care, rest & restlessness, and one’s own will in the context of time. It depicts me as a child, sitting on an old football on a meadow surrounded by daisies.
The sitting ball, which matches the motif, lends the image contemporary relevance and invites the viewer to take a break. It creates an interactive experience and a sense of connection to the motif.
Thanks to the @exhibition.no.time team and @oneduck.gallery !
2025 was a year full of trials and errors, 2026 is gonna be great.
Many projects are lying around, but everything will come when the time is right. We keep going🫰
What is one of your most memorable and formative football memories?
Let’s capture this moment and make it immortal through a showcase pottery piece.
One of my most memorable football moments from my youth is not a specific event, but rather the characters in football whom I looked up to. One of a kind is Marcelinho. He was one of the best players I’ve ever seen play and a style icon on top. He turned heads with his dribblings and goals, but also with his various hairstyles. I’m dedicating this boot to one of those hairstyles.
Big thanks to @woern.gmbh and @collinvelkoff for the invitation, the hospitality and this special experience!
This year, on September 12, my childhood- and hometown club celebrated its 80th birthday.
For this occasion, I made this bean bag inspired by the ball they played with in one of their first Bundesliga seasons in 1998 – the PUMA King series.
Even if i can’t identify with how the club developed and how it denies its true identity, it’s still my club and it won’t change. And so I would like to say thank you in this way. Thank you for many years of wonderful moments, people in my life, and also bad experiences which taught me lessons.
Happy belated birthday VfL Wolfsburg, on your 80th anniversary. And bring back the battlements and the old swag. Your modern, high polished and inauthentic image is ass. You can do better.

How did a football from a flea market evolve into contemporary furniture? For Berlin-based designer Tom Stechert (@eins____tom ), who concocts each ball by hand, creating supersized 'sitting balls' is a great way of reconnecting with a childhood love for Ronaldinho and Beckham. We asked the brains behind the 'big, round, and ballsy' business for his thoughts on football art vs football merch, creative storytelling and fan culture. In return, we're treated to Stechert's musings on nostalgia, craftsmanship and learning to sew with the help of a German kid's TV show. WDYT?
