My girls have always been my biggest cheerleaders when it comes to this small business of mine. They’ve spent countless hours at the office, been to many jobsites, and vendor showrooms. While my older daughter, Annie, has always wanted to do something with animals when she grows up, my younger daughter, Molly, definitely had the design bug. She loved drawing, playing with the fabrics, and asking a hundred questions about our projects. She had dreams of taking over EGI one day.
This summer has been a season I wish I could erase. Both of my girls attended Camp Mystic and unfortunately Molly (9) lost her life in the 4th of July flood. We have had every emotion, asked why repeatedly, and demanded answers.
Molly was such a bright light, people were drawn to her. She saw the good in this world and people. While her time on earth was cut too short, we’re determined to let her light shine on. Please visit

I can’t believe today marks 4 months since Molly went to Heaven. We would not be where we are today without the love, prayers, and support shown by our friends, family, and this wonderful design community. Fellow designers and industry partners have rolled up their sleeves to step in and help EGI and this means the world to me.

Thank you to everyone for wrapping us in your love. We will keep pushing on, this is what Molly would want. I know she’s proud.
