We helped motion design studio @immanent_vj prepare Tyler, The Creator for the return of Camp Flog Gnaw in 2023 by designing and building backdrop content for the absolutely-insane junkyard-inspired stage concept envisioned by @feliciathegoat and designed by @alexreardon65 @silenthousegroup A collaboration with co-director @drewsmog , EFFIXX designed the matte painting / set extensions depicting heaps of junked cars matching the style of physical set pieces which formed the stage and props which Tyler interacted with over the course of the show. Introducing GOD:TEMPO, our first site-specific audiovisual installation now on display at @wndrmuseum in San Diego 🎥🎧 This 20-minute immersive experience invites visitors to slow down and consider the impermanence of matter as they meditate on the passage of time. Drawing inspiration from metronomes, chronographs, and drum circles, GOD:TEMPO transforms the cubic projection space at WNDR Museum into an expressive, large-scale musical clock. The architectural hallway evolves and transforms over the course of four thematic chapters, each with its own unique musical rhythm and visual display. 🔗 Link to full video excerpt / case study (link in bio) effixx.studio/projects/god-tempo-wndr Chronos I slowly reveals an architectural hallway as molecules of light coalesce into arches before exploding into Chronos II — a pastoral Sunrise Ritual. Chronos III features structural totems that vacillate in a hypnotic stroboscopic performance, while Chronos IV deconstructs the hallway architecture into a decaying structure, setting the stage for the cycle to start again. Our process on GOD:TEMPO relied on real-time authoring tools @notchvfx for rendering / motion, synced with Ableton Live for sound design and music composition. Muse — ‘Be With You’ — VFX Design System For the new Muse single “Be With You,” we were asked by longtime friend / editor / post magician @shanepford to imagine a new kind of light flare—an omnipresent extraterrestrial force driving the narrative. Plus, we’re huge @nicopoalillo fans over here, so after reading his ambitious treatment, it was a no-brainer dream team situation. We developed **The Signal**: a system of evolving glyphs and light inspired by the Wow! signal (a powerful, unexplained radio transmission detected in 1977 that never appeared again). Built entirely in @notchvfx the system was designed to feel encoded and audioreactive, like interference embedded in the atmosphere. Spiritbox / Tsunami Sea 2025 Tour Visuals When @spiritboxmusic reached out, they came in fully open. Enthusiastic about our style and very generous in their trust, it’s not every day that we experience this level of creative license. We set out to build a world that could hold grief, scale, violence, beauty, and the complicated gravity of home. Practical VFX, live action textures, UE5 environments, Notch-driven abstraction, on-brand IMAG effects… we used all the tools in the box on this one. Huge respect to the crew, who were an absolute force, punching 10x above their weight every night. Built for heavy music fans who demand crushing tones, this pedal captured the raw power of an amp that shaped early metalcore and countless subgenres of heavy music. — To showcase its versatility, we teamed up with @tetrarchmusic — a band redefining modern metal. Their performance brought the pedal to life, tearing through riffs and leads that covered the full spectrum of heavy. — Partnering with the Universal Audio in-house video team, we produced, directed, and edited a trailer that delivered the pedal’s massive sound straight to fans.
