Gold in the @controlledcombat purple/brown division today. Starting to compete in BJJ at purple at old man 37 has been one of the most nerve wracking things ever, but today I proved to myself that I can hang a little! Japan - you were everything I had hoped you would be but so much more. Two nights of sold out shows with @immanent_vj for NewJeans at the Tokyo Dome, an amazing crew of new and old friends, and a few days of meticulously exploring around Tokyo and Kamakura, the whole time knowing that I’m barely even scratching the surface of what this place is. Hi friends! It’s been a while. I may have (dramatically) slowed down on posting here, but the truth is this has been the most growth-filled and productive year of my life. I have found more balance and direction, and the creative juices are pouring in and out at a high frequency. So much so that I sometimes forget to share and reflect.
