Proud to have two shows I worked on featured in @hollywoodreporter ’s sustainability issue 🍃
By signing a @greenriderorg Handshake Agreement on @duneprophecy S2, I and three other lead cast members engaged in the sustainability conversation before production began, giving extra momentum to @hbo ’s efforts to cut pollution, and rejecting the myth that the higher up the call sheet you are, the more you consume and the more you pollute. Thanks to @greeneyesfilmprod for hearing our call for a cross-department green committee, which brought together representatives from all departments to discuss how we could collectively improve, and broke down the hierarchy that film sets often entrench.
Great to see @aknightofthesevenkingdomshbo in there too. Although I had a smaller role in this and therefore less ability to influence sustainability practices, I was able to walk to set every day and only got one or two weird looks from crew when I arrived sweating from trudging across Belfast.
*25.5 MT is actually metric tons not million tons - still good though!
Went to Parliament today with representatives from voice agencies and the acting and photography sectors to hear testimonials from voice actors who’ve had their likenesses stolen by AI tech companies for next to no renumeration, and whose work is being steadily replaced by AI in the interests of “efficiency” (read exploitation and profit). We’re smiling but AI is no laughing matter and has no place in the arts. Was good to hear legal perspectives from experts in the field - today we hopefully got one tiny step closer to UK-wide legislation to protect citizens’ likenesses. If you’re an actor scared about the threat to your work from AI please get in touch, there’s an ever-growing movement that needs your voice.

Had the best time with dear friends (some of them are also in it) watching this utterly brilliant and crazy film. Director Bong is a sweetheart genius, and working with him was a dream come true. I’m so proud to be a part of it. I still can’t believe it.
This film is, among other things, a brilliant satire of settler colonialism, so it felt grimly fitting to be wearing my @artists4ceasefire pin, because Palestine is still not free 🍉
