In celebration of this weekās upcoming release of the @bjp1854 Portrait of Britain Vol. 8 photo book, I wanted to share more of my work from my time on set of āThe Angry Birdā, a @netflixuk documentary short film about stock car driver Georgie Polley and her experiences through life and motorsport.
My portrait of Georgie has been selected for publication as part of 200 images detailing and exploring the beautiful mosaic of identity, culture and community, in all itās different facets and forms that exist throughout Britain today.
To round out the year Iām excited to announce that my portrait of stock car driver Georgie Polley has been selected as part of this yearās Portrait of Britain shortlist.
This image was taken on set as part of the filming of a Netflix Documentary Talent Fund film directed by @jacklilleywhite_ and produced by @patrin_films titled āThe Angry Birdā. The film points to the intersection of culture, identity and motorsport in Georgieās life, detailing her experiences as a Romany woman in a sport dominated by male drivers.
