MEET THE JURY James Gilchrist (UK) James is the co-founder and creative director of Warriors Studio, INTL and International Creative Awards. At Warriors we build brands, lead campaigns and run social, cultural and commercial projects with ambitious clients and partners. Education is a key part of our practice. We’re interested in both institutional and alternative learning. Offering workshops, creating programmes and giving lectures allows us to continue evolving our teaching practice and questioning how education can adapt as the world changes. MEET THE JURY Marios Linakis (GR) Designer, mentor, public speaker, and Founder/Chairman of awarded agencies Significa SA and Sputnik Design Team. Marios is a Central St. Martin’s UAL Master of Arts graduate and a recipient of multiple international awards including D&AD Pencils, European Design Awards, German Design awards, Red Dot awards, Awwwards, and Greek Design awards. He has served as public speaker and workshop lead at design conferences in Greece and abroad, returning jury member at international competitions including Cannes Young Lions, Epica, European Design Awards, and Greek Communication Awards and has presided twice over the Greek Ermis Digital awards. Marios taught graphic design and typography for over a decade, served as external examiner at Bachelor degrees and is regularly invited to talk on design at home and abroad. His work has been featured in museums, galleries, and design publications, and he is cofounder of Design Masters, a platform offering masterclasses by decorated Greek creatives. One week, three cities, countless books! 📚✨ Our Local Design Circle Library Research Program took us across the Netherlands, exploring public libraries, archives, bookshops, and cultural spaces dedicated to print and design. We visited Bibliotheek Eindhoven, Bibliotheek Den Haag, and Bibliotheek Breda, seeing how public libraries foster community and design culture. At Huis van het Boek @huisvanhetboek , the world’s oldest book museum, we explored rare and historic printed works. At Graphic Matters @graphicmatters in Breda, we exchanged books between our reading rooms, browsed their incredible collection of design books, and got a behind-the-scenes tour of their archive and studio—an inspiring hub for visual storytelling. From KABK @royalacademyofart.thehague in Den Haag, where our ex-intern Ana Chița @ana__chita showed us the academy’s rich publishing culture, to Page Not Found @____page_not_found____ , Stichting Design Museum Dedel, and the Stedelijk Museum Library, every stop deepened our love for print culture. The books we collected are now available at the Local Design Library in Bucharest. Visit us at Kogălniceanu 5 Blvd, Monday—Friday, 11:00—18:00.
